We booked up a âspur of the moment â lunch on the late May bank holiday Monday.Really nice âolde worldâ country pub in the lovely village of Kingsland. There is an extensive lunch menu at reasonable prices.I had a Herefordshire burger with sweet potato fries and homemade coleslaw. My husband had the Chicken and Gammon Pie, and our daughter had Wild Mushroom Ravioli. The food was plentiful, tasty and freshly prepared.Everyone was friendly and helpful. All in all, a very pleasant lunchtime treat- topped off with ice cold Robinsonâs Cider from Tenbury Wells which is a must!!Thank you to all concerned.

Excellent visit to watch autumn rugby internationals, which unfortunately are on sky sports. Bar staff couldn't have worked harder to keep our glasses full throughout. Great company supporting both sides. Will definately be back for the remaining matches! Best rugby pub in Leominster!

Recently refurbished Inn with rooms, serving local beers and ciders, pure breed steaks and freshly prepared food. With separate pool room, bar and restaurant the emphasis is on providing a warm welcome to all showcasing the best Herefordshire has to offer
We had a fabulous two-night stay. The rooms were incredibly comfortable with tea, coffee, bathrobes, etc. The food was amazing. I can certainly recommend the sausages and mash, fish and chips, Irish stew, and chicken in a basket. Make sure you leave room for pudding too. The continental breakfast provided as part of the room rate was lovely, and the fried breakfasts looked fantastic too. We'll be back! Thanks again!

Thanks for checking us out... Important to stress we are a pub predominately catering for our fishermen customers. Yet because the food is so good a lot of locals enjoy it too... totally understand why. Booking is strongly advised in the evening during su
This establishment needs to get the basics right first with seating .You can't expect 2 people to sit in a corner (smaller than a broom cupboard ) and eat Sunday lunch of a coffee table.Furnishings a bit drab..in need of redecorating/recarpeting in older parts of the place. No amount of old character can describe the neglect of some of the older parts of this building .My barn would provide a better ambience for dining.Lots of large groups....works better for them I expect with the pile it high carvery. Higgedly higgledy nature of layout makes it very difficult for staff to work .Never againHello Julie - Hope you're having a great Monday. This is a very unusual review with some quite hurtful comments here. Comes across as rant. I maybe wrong. But nevertheless I'll answer...I have today left a message on your answer phone to discuss so left a message. My understanding was you were offered an alternative table more than once by patient staff, but you refused, even though you didn't like the table allocated in the restaurant. Later you acknowledged that the alternative table offered was actually quite nice when you were leaving. For me the restaurant is lovely, and typical old Herefordshire. Its a shame you don't like it. Really did you expect a modern style building? Drab it is not. Old yes. My staff love working here. Hence why they've been here so long. They disagree that its difficult to work from. That's a bit of an odd comment too. Its two rooms at the end of the day. "Pile it high carvery".... its a carvery as you knew fully well before arriving. Carvery has a theme to enjoy good food. Customers are within their rights to put what they like on their plate within reason.Sounds like you prefer more al la carte table service lunches, so why you've chosen a carvery is a mystery. As I say I have tried to call as its such an unusual review.Jonathan Bozward 01568760256

Popped in while passing for lunch with the kids. Being #2 in Leominster and the park o site I thought was a winner. Either the quality of food in Leominster is terrible or the reviews are just super positive, as I wasnât wowed. For the money it was okay and itâs pretty cheap but itâs not the quality we normally expect and try to get. Wouldnât come back. If you want cheap food then go here, if you want quality donât.Hello, we are realy confused , first of all we do fresh and homemade food, second we do check back on every single meal we send out to our guests, we checked with our team as well nobody done such a comment when the check back was done , our prices its all about value for money and we are a country pub&restaurant surrounded by the most lovely people and its hard to accept such a comment with no details and in the same time criticizing the area as well ,our products is freshly quality sourced from the local farms .The positive reviews they all based on what we serving to our guests . Thank you.

A family-owned pub, cafe and restaurant in the charming Herefordshire village of Wellington. We offer a wide selection of spirits, lagers and speciality local ales and ciders, and we offer an excellent selection of fresh, local, high-quality food.
We are here for our anniversary and everything was very good. Menu is not âvastâ but this is a good sign in my opinion. A select amount of food cooked well. A great pub in a rural setting. The specials board has a number of grills on it based on the best selection from the butcher. I had the 16oz tomahawk and it was the best steak I have ever had. We are lucky enough to live in the village and ate here just after the pub reopened and the meal was very average, pleased to say now they are over the teething problems this is a great choice for a lovely meal that is not in a big chain.
