After walking part of the Leicestershire Round, we were ready for a hearty meal and were not disappointed on a Saturday lunchtime. The lamb and mint pie was delicious for my friends. Unfortunately as a vegetarian allergic to peppers, I could not find a main meal and ordered the goats cheese starter. This really was delicious so no faulting the actual food. Also the young men serving us were helpful and friendly. We were late eating and so felt a bit abandoned towards the end of the meal but as we were busy chatting did not mind this! A lovely ending to our walk.Hi, Thank you for your review, we do have several vegetarian options on our menu, including currently our Mac and Cheese Dish, a Chickpea and Spinach Curry, a Halloumi Burger and on our specials a Vegan Cottage pie, so we are sorry you never saw these and hope next time you visit you can try one of these dishes, many thanks

Been here for both brunch and an evening meal. Food is lovely and always piping hot! Sometimes service can be slow at times even when there is very few people and when itâs super busy! Great atmosphere, lots of choice and a great brunch also! Crab and lamb were divine.

After a full renovation, the former Time Bar (located right next door to Leicester Train Station) is now open! The new name takes its inspiration from the building's original purpose as a sorting office and parcel yard for British rail.Come and join us in
Right next to the station at Leicester this is a coffe shop, come pub, come eatery. It looks like a small place from the front but goes back miles and there is lots of space to sit on comfortable settees

Located in Thurlaston(7 mins from J21M1) and just 20 minutes south-west of Leicester city centre,Poacher"s is situated opposite a stunning Norman church right in the heart of this picturesque Leicestershire village. Our recently refurbished restaurant and
Met a couple of friends there to celebrate my wife's birthday and first impressions were really good as the place has a really nice atmosphere. Table booked for and we were seated at 8.40 - despite having the menu in the bar where perhaps they could have taken the orders so that starters could be ready when you sat down we took them with us and it was another ten minutes or so before the orders were taken. Starters took another quarter of an hour and the mains arrived at 10. That said when the food arrived it was perfect - the green chicken, duck and sea bass were wonderful but the star was the meat platter as a starter. generous portions to say the least. The place didn't seem over busy and I can't understand why everything was so slow. It took the edge off a lovely evening and that's the only reason I haven't given it 5*. Yes I would go back and would recommend it but with the proviso - be prepared to wait.

Enjoy a contemporary informal dining experience within a traditional country pub setting or just come for a drink in The Windmill Inn's relaxing bar atmosphere. Open Every Day Lunchtime and Evening (Restaurant closed Sunday evenings).
Four adults and a lively 15 month-old toddler on a wet and miserable Sunday afternoon. Good choice of food, great service and lovely food! Great atmosphere too as it was cheerfully busy! The starter and dessert were particularly good- better than pubs in the area usually offer. The main course was traditional Sunday lunch fare- what was very pleasing, however, was that when we asked for extra vegetables and gravy they were delivered straightaway! Very good value too. We will definitely go back! Xx

Welcome! Ben's Kitchen at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club is a food franchise located in the warm and welcoming village of Kirby. I have a true passion for food and giving what customers want and need. I believe in quality food at low cost prices - cooked homemade
The restaurant was like a liberal club..Didnât feel like a restaurant at all. Food was ok but could of been hotter.Price was ok but Iâve paid cheaper for a meal & the atmosphere was better.Thereâs a dress code here which my bf was told about when he booked the table.Fuming as there was people which trainers a woman with ripped jeans and lads with T-shirtâs on.I actually felt overdress with a dress, jacket and heeled boots on.I wanted to complain but the bf doesnât like the attention of the embarrassment of the complain Was an experience but will not return Hi Lozza.Sorry to hear about your bad experience here at Ben's Kitchen. In regards to the restaurant, we're currently working with the golf club to give it that restaurant / warm feel needed. The hardest thing to keep warm on the Carvery is the items without liquid, we try to replenish all of them items as frequent as possible and sometimes don't manage to hit that mark!I managed to walk around the restaurant and get feedback from most of the diners and didn't here any bad comments, also didn't hear anything from the front of house team.As we state on the cover letter, we will fix anything and need to know / be reminded sometimes, so hopefully you do decide to revisit, then please do tell us if they're any problems, at all, otherwise, I'd like to apologise for your meal being cold!Regarding the dress code, unfortunately we now have to mention to every customer calling to book or dining with us, so we do mention it to people when they arrive not in the dress code, however, we do not wish to turn anybody away, the dress code has been in place for 125 years and the downside is that Ben's Kitchen is based inside a golf club and not at my own restaurant. Please do call and ask for Ben on 01162393457 option 4 and i'll be more than happy with invite you back for a discounted price and show you why we deserve them 5 stars!I look forward to your call.

Reeceâs is located in the heart of Groby. We serve everything from breakfast to Sunday carverys. All cooked fresh and using quality ingredients.
We visited Reece's today on our way to spending some time a Bradgate Park, Leicester. We had seen all of the 5 star reviews on TripAdvisor, and wanted to see what all of the positive feedback was about. WOW! We were extremely impressed and will definitely make this our 'go to' place when in the area. We were met by Reece when we arrived, and he was an excellent host. We also had the pleasure of meeting Wendy who is the friendliest restaurant/bar person we have met to date. The atmosphere at Reece's is excellent, the food is top quality and cooked to perfection. If you are looking for a venue that is proud about the food & service they provide, without the 'airs and graces' then we recommend you visit Reece's in Groby. You will really enjoy the Full Breakfast, and 3 of us choose that, with a mix of egg orders of fried, scrambled & poached. I had the poached egg option, and they were the best cooked eggs I have had in ages. This is an excellent, honest, decent venue serving great food with top customer service. Next time we will visit after 1pm so that we can sample the homemade 'a la carte' restaurant, and will also visit on a Sunday lunchtime so that we can sample their renowned Sunday roasts & carvery. Reece & Wendy - you have hit gold providing excellent quality meals at reasonable prices, and we look forward to seeing you again very soon. Best wishes, Faz, Wendy & the girls xThank you so much for this review!! These sort of reviews make everything I do worthwhile! Iâm so pleased you and your family enjoyed your visit, and I hope to see you guys again soon!! Thank you again!
