What a super place to find. Don't think I should tell everyone as it will become too popular and I will not get in. Really super service. Really good food. All reasonable in cost. Really cheerful and happy people to serve you. Nothing too much trouble. VERY WELL DONE TO ALL. Dont spread this around as we wont be able to get in. Sssshhhh.

Six of us went here for lunch. This was our first visit. We had salads, omelettes and toasties with 2 side portions of chips. Two bottles of lovely red Rioja, a bottle of water and a green tea. The meal was lovely with very good service. The bill was under 70 euros which we thought was good value. We will go back

Just come out of caspers,we had three liver dinners and one large breakfast.the liver was Luke warm,the mash potato was lumpy and barely warm,the peas were like bullets.all in all very poor.the beans on the breakfast were cold.not a lot of effort put into any of this.dont waste your money.

We picked this restaurant as we wanted to try the tapas advertised in the ruta de tapa booklet. It was delicious. Very friendly staff, nice outdoor seating area. One suggestion - tidy up the ladies toilet area and it would improve the place no end :)

Nice wine in a great location. No tapas offered though but friendly & the view of the sea is just beautiful! It was a windy day so it was a good choice to sit in sun & not get blown to pieces!

Very nice food. Waitress polite and friendly.Condiments not provided, asked for salt, pepper and ketchup. No charge was mentioned.Minute serving of ketchup supplied.When the bill came we were shocked to see a 50 cent charge for the ketchup!We have travelled the world and never, ever seen this before.Sadly it gives a very penny pinching impression as the food is not cheap, so unfortunately we will not return as a matter of principle.Shame as itâs a nice place.

Set in a small courtyard next to the charity shop just off the Main Street in Albir this little bar is well worth finding.The interior is small and a bit dated , however the welcome and the standard of the food more than makes up for this.The breakfasts are superb and fish and chips on Fridays are great too.The Scottish owners are lovely. We will be back

We walked past this restaurant every night and it was always full to the brim ! So we were very lucky to get in the night before we left - even though we booked they thankfully squeezed us in! We ordered a few starters as the menu was so good we wanted to try a few and they had sharers - the food was absolutely delicious and we were so full from the starters that we couldn't order any mains! The service was also very good considering how busy they were - not like in England when they leave you sitting for ages and ages and ages! One of our favourite all time restaurants!

I frequent the Universal often either for coffee or a snack lunch. The staff are friendly and efficient especially Joanna. Never in 15 years of going there have I had to complain about the food. It's good. I enjoy going to the Universal where I can have, coffee or lunch in a quiet environment and read the English newspaper which is provided. If I have a complaint it's the continual interruptions by the 'looky looky'' men selling cheap sunglasses, handbags, watches, trainers, blankets etc. This is not unique to the Universal. They are everywhere in Albir.Thanks George !!!! and yes it is a shame to have them again and again.. i know.. All the complains i made to the mayor has only a laugh as reaction...
