Bar food plus restaurant and conservatory dining. Real Ales. Bar open all day. Child and dog (bar only) friendly. Beer garden. Quiz night Wednesdays and open music night Thursdays.
I ate here with a group of friends when visiting Gatehouse of Fleet for a wedding. As the token vegan I was worried about eating options in a small town, but the Masonic Arms offered multiple choices for vegans and vegetarians which were clearly marked. The menu was also well described for coeliacs as well. I loved the vegan shepherdâs pie!

We went here with family as some had been before due to the large choice of gluten free meals and as my title says, it is great for that - most of the menu is indeed gluten free. Thankfully not something I need to worry about.I had broccoli and Stilton soup which came with a warm bread roll for starter - it was delicious, and did the job of getting me warmed back up......it was a glorious day outside but we felt a bit chilly inside the pub (before the soup). The roast options were pork or beef - I went for beef, which I must say you get a lot of. It was very nice, would have preferred a few more veg and I wasn't keen on the Yorkshire pudding, which was disappointing as it's my favourite part of a roast dinner. The banoffee stack was delicious - I could have eaten it several times over. All in all it was a good pub lunch, and glad we'd been booked in with family - we certainly wouldn't have gone in had we just been driving past looking for somewhere to eat.

Had the pleasure of eating here last Sunday, 3 Courses for two of us, and 2 courses off the pensioners special. Beautifully cooked gammon, fresh vegetables, steak pie and the scampi was real scampi none of that reformed stuff. The desserts were amazing, and the staff attentive, we will be back!

On a short break in Kikcudbright we had an evening meal here. Couldn't fault the food...the photos don't do it justice. The sBest meal we've had for a long timcallops, and the pate and salad for the starters, the smoked haddock creamed potatoes and poached egg dish, and the sea bass with puy lentils etc. for mains. Congratulations to the chef for cooking and presentation, and to the warm friendly,, yet very proffessional dining room staff. Top marks all round.

We called with a small person and dogs wanting food. Dogs are allowed in the bar area but not children, children are allowed in the restaurant but not dogs. We opted to sit outside in the bar garden which offered no shelter from the rain when it started. Quick dash to the car with the dogs thankfully it wasnât hot. The food was ok and the decor in the dining room is dated

Someone highly recommended Selkirk Arms so we went there to have our dinner . The ambiance and decor of the restaurant was quite good, worthy of a Scotthish place. We were immeditely attended and from there on, it was a display of great hospitality and professionlism. We had ordered various type of fish dishes and all were done to our satisfaction. The mushrooms and veges were also great. Service was quick and very professional. And when we inquired about the quality of rooms, we though next time we would be staying in Selkirk Arms. A pleasent experience.Dear flyfisher66,How nice to get a recommendation - and I'm so pleased that your expectations were met and you had a lovely evening.
