We stopped on the way to and the way back from Dinner.Live music in the evening although we didn't realise until we left as the musicians were hidden away in one of the side bars. Plenty of seating and good selection of drinks, Dis not eat although the menu seemed fairly good. Was a little dissappointed with the Beamish, did not seem to match previous experiences.

We booked a big party of 20 for a hen night meal. We were not disappointed, the standard of food and service was super. Could not fault, we had the whole 1st floor and staff were very attentive and food was of a high quality. only gripe was there was a good 45 minutes between starter and dinner which was quite lengthy but other than that very happy and would return.Hi Tracey,So glad you had a good evening at Vista and enjoyed your Hen party. Apologies for the delay between courses. We appreciate you taking the time to write your review and I hope you all have a fantastic time at the big day!Colette

We had the oysters - incredibly fresh and tasty. We then shared the charcuterie, which was very good. The wait staff were excellent. Prices are a bit high but overall it was a great dinner.

Had our thirtieth birthday meal here. The food here never disappoints. We all had the set menu and its great value. Garlic spuds are epic, although there could have been a choice of mash or roast instead of chips as my mom eats neither of these. The beg however was also lovely and there was so much of it. A great night, relaxed atmosphere, good company and good food.

Iâm not quite sure why anyone would think this place in any way resembles a âgenuineâ locals pub, not unless the majority of locals all speak with American accents. Thatâs not say thereâs anything particularly wrong with it, itâs in a good location and the food is certainly adequate. More disappointing is the selection of drinks, which is basically the same as in any other pub in Kinsale. It consists of the âtokenâ local beer, the KPA, from the Blacks Brewery, and then there's the usual mixture of mega-brands, often pretending to be something theyâre not. e.g. The tasteless Smithwicks âbrandâ is mass produced by Diageo at its Dublin brewery, alongside Guinness. As is Hop House 13, a âbeerâ which is shamelessly marketed as some sort of âcraft aleâ. So, if youâre happy to be surrounded by fellow tourists eating standard pub grub and drinking beer that mainly comes from a huge factory in Dublin then this place will be fine.

Traditional Irish bar with music 7 nights a Week 2 sessions every night March until November then 3 nights per week until end of February. Serving great bar food from 12 noon until 9pm
Love this pub! Staff are lovely, the craic is fantastic, drinks are fab, and the music and atmosphere are brilliant! We went in a second time for food and again they didn't disappoint!! Spicy chicken wings are best I've had, I had the burger and chips which was amazing, so juicy an cooked medium to well done. My partner had the fish n chips which he loved. Unfortunately we didn't stay for dessert or my Irish coffee as we were so full after dinner and had to get back to the hotel and pack ready for an early flight the next day. Highly recommend this pub and will be back ASAP. Thanks for a memorable time x

I really wanted to like this place. The food was well prepared and overall very good. Our server, however, had a real edge to her. You couldn't tell sometimes if she was kidding you or making fun of you. It was a little weird. Also, we were of the understanding that there was no tipping expected in Ireland. Their charge machine, however, was set up to ask for a tip. Then the person stood right over you to watch what you did while deciding. I have to ask myself if the customers had been Irish and not American would this screen have even been presented to them? It was a bit off-putting for all of us.

Called here for a quick Sunday lunch. Same menu and price in bar as main dining room. Very pleasant lady took our order and served us with a hot fish pie and cod and chips with leaves lightly coated with an excellent dressing; 2 glasses of a rather dry pinot grigio. All for â¬50

We tried to eat lunch upon our arrival but the manager seated the four of us at a dirty table and no wait staff came over. We left...but we returned late at night for dessert and Kelvin, the night manager was amazing and restored our faith with delicious cake and coffee! Dear happytraveler,Thank you for letting us know of your disappointment at lunch last week. I am sorry that there seem to have been a mix-up with your table upon arrival but I am very pleased that you returned later and had a very positive experience with our delicious homemade cake and coffee, and of course your interaction with Kelvin. The future of our industry is bright with you people like Kelvin coming through!I hope that you will return soon.Kind regards,Hal McElroy

Gorgeous evening overlooking the water and setting sun with the vivacious Natasha providing us excellent service. Four of us enjoyed duck spring roll special for starter, together with menu item calamari, very lighted breaded and flavorful. Also chose specials for main, two of the crushed and seared tuna and two of a monk fish and scallop duo over just perfect risotto. Both outstanding. The location is a few kilometers from town Centre but worth the trip. Stairs to climb above the co located pub.
