You probably wont miss this when you pass by the street due to its large and bold red signage, but the flavors are distinctive and bold. Must tries: Cocino of course and the grilled squid was cooked to perfection. Our server was quite engaging, attentive and looks like the late Robin Williams

We were a party of 4, 2 Americans and 2 English, staying at the Paradores overnight. We decided to explore the small town and possibly stop and have lunch. This café was very close to the Paradores so we popped in.It is what we English would describe as a very "local" bar / café populated by local residents. The food was quite basic but okay. I had a selection of tapas which could have been better.

Set a little off the main square in Garganta (look for the direction signage) this little bar is a real treat. Nice beer (indeed regional bottled beer was available, alas we noticed too late during our visit), great tapas and a friendly welcome. Well worth a look if you are in the area. Didn't get to see the cave but there's always next time...Thank you very much for commenting on our establishment and for such a good opinion.
