Four of us had lunch here while visiting some friends who were staying at Sugarbar Resort. Itâs a unique Bar and Restaurant on the Delta that I immediately felt comfortable in. It seems that most of the people at the bar were regulars and all seemed to know each other and were friendly. Back in my drinking days I know this would be a place I would hangout. They had a limited menu but 3 of us ordered the fish and chips and one had the BLT. Fish was good and the chips were excellent. Service was very good and our waitress took good care of us even though she seemed to be the only one working. When we left the owners and the waitress thanked us for coming. If your in the Delta and you like the Bar/Restaurant type vibe this is an excellent place to hangout, eat and have a few. I know Iâll be back.

There are not many choices for meals in Walnut Grove, but Tony's place is near the top of the pecking order. Their menu is very limited to selections, but it does offer salads, burgers and a few other choices. Most come with a side of beans, fries or salad. Beer is available with several tap selections. The staff is quite friendly and provide excellent service. If you want a wider menu choice and more than just something to match your bar beverage order go elsewhere. If you are content with a ample but simple meal, Tony's Place will do fine.

While visting the historic community of Locke, CA, we stopped for lunch at Al The Wop's Place. This very old landmark building was in it's heyday a saloon, restaurant, brothel! Fun to see the furnishings and kitschy decorations in the saloon area. The back dining area was basic tables and benches. Food was not gourmet but still above average and we enjoyed fried chicken, salad and steak with mushrooms. Service was good and friendly. We did not drink and bar but locals were imbibing there.

As a boating group, we've been going to Wimpy's at least once a year as a group alnog with going there when near by. The food and customer service is always top notch.

This is a fascinating historical place to dine. There are stuffed heads (and bodies) adorning the walls. Don't go if you have an aversion to the killing of wildlife for sport. But, this is historic. These animals were killed years ago, when big game hunting was considered exciting and just fine! I am always amazed that they are kept so well preserved, and I, who have major allergies, am not bothered by the atmosphere at all. Most children seem fascinated and not frightened. The food is fine. Only once have I been underwelhemed by the ribs, so hard I couldn't bite into them. Everything else is good. I understand that the buffalo burgers are great! The bar is great. People come from all over to eat here because of the historical ambience. Love the huge elephant head. (CASH ONLY)

The restaurant overlooks the Sacramento River and has a docking area, but is in need of some updating. My wife had the fish and chips and would not eat the cole slaw. One daughter had the fish tacos and the other daughter had a salad. Neither daughter was overwhelmed. My grandson had the swordfish and ate every bite. I had a philly cheesesteak that was average. The beer and curley fries were great. The service was very good.

We met family here for lunch one weekend. We had been here several years back and thought to give it a try again.Food was just so-so - and orders were not all correct (Onion rings on one sandwich instead of the ordered fries). Imagine this is a hopping place at night on the weekends. Boat slips allow boaters to pull right up to the restaurant for a lunch stop, so pretty handy. But in the day light you can see that the place is pretty run down - and there was a bit of a sewer smell near the entrance (did NOT have that out on the deck area) All in all, yes, we would go back if the situation presented itself, but sure would not make a special trip.

THE BEST BURGERS ON THE DELTA! We have a Tiki/ Rock and Roll themed Bar and Grill with a FULL BAR, old school arcades, boat parking, pool table all ON THE WATER!! We're awesome! Come visit us!
We ate tonight at the new Lighthouse Bar & Grill. They've only been open two weeks and there were no customers when we arrived tonight (Monday), but others came while we were there. They've been open the last two weekends and the parking area has been packed, and now we see why. It's a salads and burger place but the burgers were GREAT and creative and everything was fresh and tasty. We wish these guys nothing but great success!

If you're boating on the Delta and want to stop for something tasty, this is the place. And they have a great bar. We had a very salty waitress that made us laugh the whole time. We were a party of 36 and they handled our orders well! Make sure to try the Delta Punch!!

Back in December we had visited this restaurant with another couple and were not at all pleased as indicated by our review of that visit. This time we found the food AND the service to be excellent. And interestingly enough the restaurant was a lot busier than during our previous visit. All four of us enjoyed the evening and will be returning.
