Decided to pop in for Breakfast on Sunday and was very pleasantly surprised by the standard of food. A good menu which we thought was good value for money all washed down with a decent cup of coffee.All delivered to our table in the bar by Emma, who delivered great service

Visited here today for the first time, food was lovely. We tried the chicken burgers which were tasty, Made with jerk sauce and beer batter, which was quite unusual but good, service was very quick and all reasonably priced. They even serve woodys ice cream. Definitely recommend.

£4.99 lunch! Where else can you get this from? The food was fresh and tasty. The other menu is more extensive but at a fiver what do you expect. I liked it and the staff were polite and friendly throughout and made our visit easy.

Really busy restaurant which I always say is a good sign and so it proved. Service was quick efficient and attentive. Had smoked fish, black pudding fritter topped with poached egg. Main course roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings including a massive Yorkâs pudding. Overcharged for one glass of wine and when pointed out apology given and two glasses deducted from bill which was another good touch. Well worth a visit and will be back.

Most disappointing lunch we have had in quite some time. Both food quality and service very poor.- Meals all came at different times- All 3 of the baked potatoes ordered were cold and had to be returned- Prawn Marie Rose filling for both baked potatoes and sandwich was mushy and tasteless- We wanted to finish off with coffee but waited ages for table to be cleared and asked if we wanted anything else despite lots of staff wandering about and had to go up to the bar to ask to be served- Coffees took over 15 mins for the first to arrive and then all came at different times despite only one other table of customers- Were not asked if we wanted small or regularly coffee so no surprise we were charged for the more expensive at over £3 eachAl in all a complete disaster for what was a family birthday lunch and we will not be back. Went here for the first time today. The pub has great decor, and a great atmosphere.Food was delicious, and got a deal for 2 courses. Would highly recommend this place for lunch, and will be going back.I would recommend you book a table as itâs a busy place.
