We were here in August on a Friday night. Waitress provided us with a menu which had specials. When three out of the four of us attempted to order our dinner from the specials. We were informed they were our of everything? Had several great meals here in the last few years. This time was a shame. It's obvious they have picked up a new chef as the food has taken a real dump. The previous chef was great cooking delicious food. Be careful eating here. Had a crappy time and experience.

I took some out of town guests to the Limberlost for dinner and, well, we never ate. We ordered drinks & appetizers to start, received the wrong drinks and no appetizers. Finally the apps came, cold. We were still waiting for our dinner order an hour later, when we decided to leave. Paid for the drinks & apps and headed down the street. On a good note, the outside tiki bar is a fun stop for a drink, but inside service sucked.

I've been going up to Houghton lake my whole life, pretty much a second home for my whole family, and have always passed by this place. it wasn't until a friend recently suggested the bar and grill here to try, so we did. So when we went in you could only pay with cash, which was ok i get it, the machine was down. it does have a good view... but food was bland and sucked. As we sat there waiting for our food we noticed a person had there bull dog which must have just had surgery, just out side the window on the patio no big deal my family loves dogs, here's the gross part from the dog having surgery it had slobber and snot coming from its mouth and eyes, and its eye was looked to be infected. as we finished our meals, the owner of the dog was laying down the restaurants pates and letting the dog EAT/LICK/SLOBBER all over them and was then did it it with the rest of the plates of the people that were with him.... i told the server about it and she said that she would tell a manager cause it was gross... after sitting there for awhile longer nothing was being done so i went and talked to the manager his name was Vinny. she said he would go out and talk to them... i sat out of site so they couldn't see me not even once did they do anything about it, that is a BIG FDA food violation not to mention really gross.... we will never be going back!!!!

We walked in on a slower Sunday evening. There were several empty tables so I knew the kitchen wasn't too busy. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. She was quick with refills and thoughtful with suggestions.However, we waited over an hook AFTER we ordered our meals to get our food. I'm not sure if it's an anomaly but perhaps it will be a rare exception to the rule.

Over stretching the phrase sports bar!! Two small TVs. Neither playing sports. The College World Series was on and Michigan is in the finals! The food was just ok. The chicken fajitas were flavored with bbq sauce. Is that normal? They tasted ok, but isnât it a fajita? Not impressed with the place. Wonât go back.

Sunday evening dinner on the patio was nice. Landscaping around the patio was lovely. Hubby had ribs with sweet sauce. Quite good but hubby said just ok. I had the shrimp basket which was great! Just enough for smaller appetite. Had great friendly service and food was cooked fast. Would go again!
