Weâve been going to Bakersfield since itâs opening years ago. While in its first year, fancier choices were offered, the menu is still very good, offering something for everyone. From prime rib to fried chicken (which is excellent even though I typically avoid fried foods), to low calories salads with grilled wild Alaskan salmon, thereâs something for every taste. We sat outside on the patio, enjoyed great service and fabulous food. I love that you can buy a bottle of wine from the Standard Market across the street and not pay corkage. I will go back again and again.

This is my family's go-to diner for just about every occasion, including birthdays and post-graduation dinners. The food is great, the service is good, and the location is perfect. We love walking in and seeing neighbors and friends, and the atmosphere is vibrant. My kids all love the menu (especially the mac 'n' cheese and burgers) and I love the sophisticated salads and IPA beers. Now you can sit outside as well, and soak up the Western Springs charm.

Pub style with burgers & Italian food.
We dropped in after picking up a family member from Midway Airport for dinner. My wife picked this place off of TripAdvisor, it had a good rating, so we figured we'd give it a try. It's next to the Graue Mill, so you can hear the roar of the water as you get out of your car. The restaurant itself is fairly common - your basic sports bar - lots of TV screens, with the Cubs - Mets game playing on two screens, and one droning on about a possible tornado strike on Washington DC (too bad it's only a dream).Regardless, we were told to pick our own seats, so we found one and were promptly greeted over the ROAR of the crowd. This place is LOUD, so having an intimate conversation is pretty hard. The food itself was good. We ordered the Jalapeño Poppers, and they were good. Two of our party ordered the Salmon Sandwich, while one had the Portobello Mushroom sandwich. They were all good, and the fries were good.I had a Sam Adams Boston Lager, and it was served with a chilled glass. It was nice and fresh - very good. So, apart from being LOUD, good food, comfortable chairs, good service. So, maybe bring ear plugs?

On a bus trip ,this restaurant was included in our packet. The food that was served to the group was alittle different than the rest of the restaurant. The White Fish was served dry and overcooked. Some of the guest did get their meal replaced but I was told it seemed as if they had defrosted which made the fish very wateree in taste..I had the roast beef and it taste as if it came out of a can.I was not impressed by the food or service.

Pleasantly surprised by the out of the ordinary preparation of standard pub fare. The menu has something for everybody. I had the ribs that were meaty, succulent and served with a very nice sauce. They were accompanied by exceptionally well prepared fries. Crispy, fluffy and not at all greasy. It also came with a very nice cornbread that was very light and tasty thanks to the shot of pepper. I ordered a side of jalapeño cole slaw and it too was superb. Freshly prepared, crunchy and nicely dressed. My wife had the chicken enchiladas that were also very good. The chicken was plentiful and tasty. Truly a quality dish served with great black beans and tasty rice. Nice adult beverage selections and great, cold beer. Good value too.

Ate here on granddaughter's recommendation. Service was superb, and the food was very good as well. Ambience is nice, but nothing fancy. We will definitely return. Only reason it got a four was that it was a bit on the pricey side, which I guess I should expect in Hinsdale. It's more like a 4.5.Thank you so much for joining us at Vistro! We are happy to hear that you and your grandchildren enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you in again soon. We'll share your kind words with Chef Paul and the team. -Charlotte

Enjoyed a beautiful early dinner at Fuller House. The outdoor area was very comfortable and relatively quiet for a great early summer evening. I had the pulled pork and the lobster mac-n-cheese. Both were delicious! My wife had the chop salad and my daughter the black bean burger. Both were great. Will definitely go back.
