Knee Deep Bar and Grill

July 4th the customers keep coming in, why? Two things, it's a popular sports bar for the younger generation, and most important is the number of grey haired generation coming in for the wing night. My wife and I devoured forty wings and four sauces, the wings were fat and not skinny. Need a change for your dinner, Thursday is wing night at the Knee Deep. You will not be disappointed.

Was pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Heritage Inn High River. Our room was large with two very comfortable beds, bathroom was fine, staff were friendly and helpful. Staff in the hotel bar and the Spitzee bar adjacent to the hotel were welcoming and helpful with recommendations on where to eat. Overall very happy and great value!

We went on Wednesday half price Wing nite for an early evening/late afternoon meal.I write a lot of reviews on TripAdvisor. I usually rate good to excellent because I have researched places that have good reviews. We were in this bar and restaurant for one hour. There were two of us..we were the only two customers on the bar side. Nobody was dining in the restaurant side. As soon as we opened the front door, I could smell the aroma of stale old deep-fryer oil. We should have walked out. We shared an order of the half price wings on special for an appetizer. They were the tiniest chicken wings that I have ever been offered in a pub or restaurant. We shared a two piece fish and chip dinner. The batter for the fish was nice and crispy and light. The fries were over cooked and greasy. I would not recommend this place for a chicken wing nite out.

We arrived just before noon, and were pleased that they offered a Senior's Rate starting at age 55 for the Sunday Brunch. Arrival was confusing, as nobody greeted us, and there was no sign to say "seat yourself." It was hard to get any server's attention. Sadly, the food was so poor, it wasn't worth any amount of money. It was sad. The worst part were the pirogies (previously frozen, machine made) were dried out, with a tough, leathery feel. There was roast beef (we think), but it too was over-cooked and very dried out. The "Eggs Benedict" should have been the star of the show, but it was just a poached egg (made in a form, not even real poached eggs), on slice of processed ham, on half a dry english muffin no butter. The few remaining salad items were passable, but picked over, and also not inspired. The waffle station seemed to have just previously frozen toaster waffles, and neatly cut in half, as if you'd take too many of them. The dessert station was also very picked over, and also seemed to feature pies from the grocery store. There was jello left, but only 1 square, one of the tiniest we've ever seen. This does not leave a good impression for the entire hotel.... Certainly no chef here, or management who care...Dear Guest,Firstly, we apologize for our late reply. Secondly, we are very sorry to hear about your experience. This is definitely not the type of impression we wish to leave with our patrons and we will be looking into your comments, specifically regarding the service and the quality of the food. Our Sunday Brunch is very popular with our visiting guests as well as many regulars in town and we hope you will give us another chance to impress should you return to the area.Sincerely,Seasons Cafe & Eatery High River
