I heard advertisements on the radio all day for their broassted chicken, so we decided to stop in and try it. First of all this is a local bar. Loud, filed with people smoking like chimney's and pretty dingy. There are a few booths on the side with placemat menus which don't list any of the types of broasted wings they are buying up airtime bragging about. No one looked at us, greeted us or anything. We walked out when we saw one of the women smoking behind the bar then go back and get food and serve it at the bar. We walked out with no ever having bothers to look at us. Gross place, from the looks of it. Might be a great watering hole for locals, if you can stand the smoke, but eat anything from there? NO WAY! We laugh when we hear the radio ads now.

Every year on our bike trip through PA, we always make it a point to stop here... specifically for the wings. Best wings in the whole area, they are just great. The ice cold beverages are truly ice cold, the staff is friendly and accommodating and the locals are friendly.

Pat's Bar

The famous Pat's Burger does not disappoint. All throughout Hawley WinterFest the acclaim of the Pat's Burger can be heard, and there are those who wrongly have their doubts, so this year we decided to introduce our out of town guest to the famous Pat's Burger and it was a hit! He raved about it. Also nice for him to have a smoke indoors on cold day. The place was packed but the owner, Bernie, and the bartender were taking such good care of everyone and wear holiday outfits, reindeer headbands and some Christmas sweaters. It was a great and affordable lunch. People so friendly and every one of good cheer.

There aren’t a lot of choices for lunch in Hawley, but this one is worth checking out! Nice bar area with extra side table seating. The menu has a good variety of choices, and their ciabatta rolls are excellent. The chicken cheesesteak is a favorite of ours. I can vouch for a large clean ladies room! Service is quick and our usual server Erica is great! Only small issue is that they open at noon, so don’t plan on lunch before that!

Hawley Burger

Not just a burger place. Almost a diner, with regular, fancy, build-you-own and fancier burgers; wraps; classic sandwiches; quesadillas and more. The food we tried was pretty good. Half-pound burger, fresh and cooked to order. Reuben delivered steaming hot with good corned beef mixed into the sauerkraut. Home-style potato chips bland and forgettable. Care went into the menu and the prep. Not so the dining room. Acoustically a disaster. In a resort town, you should have happy folks. They’re loud, enthusiastic andLoud. Every taunt and laugh bounces around the room looking for an old guy with hearing aids to assault. A few decor changes, like wall coverings, can fix it. So far, the noise roams free.Service is an issue, but it seems like the problem is with the kitchen, not the staff. Here’s the truth: a dish cooked to order, even a burger, takes time to prepare. So be patient. Even if conversation is difficult.

Views of Lake Wallenpaupack, menu with lots of choices and good drink menu. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Food was excellent - I had seafood cakes and my wife had pasta. We also shared a coconut shrimp appetizer, which was terrific. The restaurant can get crowded, and they only take reservations for geoups of 5 or more. Will be back again the next time we are in the area.

This is a good place for lunch when passing through the area. It is apparently a popular place and was very crowded. That considered, service was prompt. The menu has a nice variety and prices were appropriate. Portions were more than ample.

I had been to this restaurant twice before with my husband. Even with a reservation, we had to wait to be seated. I made reservations approximately three weeks in advance for my family of 6 for July 6. We arrive to find out the entire restaurant is closed to the public for a wedding!! They said they called all of their reservations earlier in the week to change plans, however, I never received a call. It was a wedding! Not like it was thrown together that afternoon- the restaurant must have known well in advance. They were very sorry. My friend makes a reservation on Open Table for a party of 8 for Sat, Aug. 10. We had 11 in our party and wanted the upper deck so on Tues prior to our reservation, he went there and was told by an assistant manager that our table would be for 11 on the upper deck. Upon arriving, they could not accommodate us at all outside, had no knowledge of the assistant managers conversation with us, and could place us in the front of the inside room. They were very sorry....again.Without any sorrow on my part, I will never dine there again.Dear CarolynS787,We're disappointed to read your review of Glass-wine.bar.kitchen. When we have buy out weddings, we close off our reservations. If it is a last minute situation, you should have received a call about your reservation. If you did not receive a call then we do apologize for the miscommunication. Regarding the August 10th experience, we always try to honor reservations. However in this case we could not honor it because we did not have the tables to set up on the upper deck for this request due to high volume. We apologize for this situation and the resulting disappointment. We would like to speak to you personally about this experience. Please email our manager Doug at [email protected] or call us at 570.226.1337. We hope to win you over with our service in the future.
