Breakers had everything at a great price for all the whanau. We had a large whanau in for dinner and we were given colouring in for the kids to help settle them while we wait for our dinner to be served. Was a great evening with fast service.

The Maraekakaho Local. Country hospitality at its best in beautiful Maraekakaho. Fully licensed. We serve brunch, lunch, snacks and evening meals.
We were on our way home from Hawkes Bay and stopped for tastings at a couple of wineries en-route. Originally we had planned on stopping in Dannevirke for a late lunch but decided to stop at The Chook and Filly instead. Had no idea it was there until we were driving passed. So glad we stopped, friendly professional service, lovely setting and one of the best burgers ever! So, if you are on the way to or from the Bay from the south, this is worth a stop!

This is the upmarket standard of restaurant that you would expect to find in the wealthier suburbs of a major city. But when you realize that Havelock North is the service center of rural Hawkes Bay, probably the richest fruit and vegetable growing area in NZ (including major wineries), then its only to be expected that it caters for a discerning clientele. The building is a bit overdone in trying to ape Yee Oldee English, but the atmosphere and overall effect is fine. The service excellent and although we were there on the busiest night of the week no great delay for the meals which were all (four different ones) of excellent quality. And the cost? very reasonable, a lot less than similar quality in Auckland , Wellington or Taupo.

American BBQ joint ,and road food set in a fun backyard location among the apple trees. A fun relaxed family BBQ joint. With ribs brisket wings and the best gosh darn pulled pork loaded fries you ever had Full bar Yard games and lots of fun.
Visited on a hot sunny day. Food slow cooked and delicious. Service good. Unfortunately music was very loud so asked to be seated away from it which we were but two of our chairs were broken and wobbly. Possibly a bit of a health and safety concern there.

We came across this brewery by chance and will definitely be going back. Fantastic burgers - we had the fried chicken burger and the venison burger - and great craft beers. A glass of wine is available for those who are not into the brewed stuff. Casual with an industrial decor, this place will appeal to many.

Great food , amazing staff so helpful and welcoming. Its the little touches that make all the difference. One little thing they do is there is always a welcome note on your table and our friends from out of town just love. Never had a bad meal at Jarks
