Came here for lunch break after visiting Guimarães, decent sized restaurant with outdoor and inside seating. Friendly staff, helped with menu recommendations. Large assortment of local and IPA beers to choose from, definitely went good with my delicious beef steak sandwich and side order of fries. Definitely recommend this place, if youâre wanting to eat Portuguese beef steak sandwich, this is the place.

What started as a bad day (our car's tyre punctured in the centre of town) turned better as the place we managed to park was right outside Sala 141. We went in to have a drink while we waited for the tyre to be changed and really enjoyed it. In fact we enjoyed it so much that we stayed for lunch and went back again the following day. The food is really good (unfortunately they don't do full, evening meals) and the staff areally friendly and helpful. For beer lovers who despair of Portugal they do a good selection of local bottled, artisan beers which are very nice. Nothing to fault here.

Small but perfectly formed, as were the tapas, Castas e Tostas was a welcoming and pleasant venue for the evening. It was good for us that it opened little earlier than some places, too.We particularly enjoyed the small peppers, the crispy prawn rolls and the goat's cheese with honey.Nice people, too.

The best feature of this restaurant is its location. Set in the historical Largo do Oliveira, next to the olive tree and opposite the church. Eating at the outdoor tables puts you in the middle of this nice setting.Unfortunately, the food doesn't meet the standard of the location. I had the francesinha especial which was nothing special. Usually, an 'especial' version of francesinha comes with a fried egg on top and with french fries. This one had no egg and had potato chips/crisps, instead of fries. And the francesinha itself was very average with a filling that was quite chewy.I would return to the square again to eat but would try one of the other adjacent restaurants.

Friendly service though not very attentive. I suspect it was our timing (630) as they were getting ready for dinner.Nice beer, limited wine by the glass but they were helpful allowing a taste.Food seemed over priced a bit but tasted good. Nothing special. Interesting that they charge more to be on the terrace.
