This place a little bit hidden between the streets of the University Library and the Harmonie Building. I really love the location and the open space in the summer, where I spend a lot of time with my friends! I totally recommend the nachos (they say the portions are small whereas they are nearly as big as a whole dish) for a very fair price. Their pizzas are also very good. However, the staff is not the very client-oriented. One time I got denied an order although the kitchen was still open for another 30mins and some people still got served after having denied us! They could improve by not making it a self-service place. However, itâs always full when Iâm there so itâs not a big deal

Great pub that has excellent variety of beers and proper pubfood. I tried the red devil burger and it was very good. Service was very friendly too

Arriving here is really nice. It doesn't feel crowded but still can fit a nice amount of people there. The atmosphere is really nice with good looking furniture. The waitress was nice and gave some tips for which table. The design of the logo, brand, menu card en drink card is really nice. It's something you will notice. The prices are quite ok. It's not a cheap eat. But the quality and service and serving style is worth it. We had an excellent beef burger with baconjam sauce (recommended!) my girlfriend had spareribs with jacked potato. For drinks, they have their own brewery and nice beers. Their signature is an IPA with chili and kaffir lime.

The perfect place for a light, yet delightful meal. We tried the salad with goat cheese and the salad with duck meat. Both salades where very nice. This perfect light dinner was perfectly extended to the kind service. This picturesque place is perfect for a cosy delightful meal.

UNIQUE PUB EXPERIENCE Block & Barrels, a unique pub experience in Groningen where the butcher meets the brewer. A great place to enjoy craft beer and the finest cuts of meat, charcuterie, snacks and sausages from Groningenâs best butcher. CRAFTSMANSHIP Bl
We only popped in for cocktails (which were delicious btw) but after spotting the huge grill loaded with what looked like the best quality meat and the smells coming from the kitchen we decided to stay and I ordered the 400g (I think) rib eye medium. The waiter talked me through the some of the options and gave his recommendations in a chilled but confident manner. (when I asked if he could bring Dijon with the meal he replied âtrust me, you wonât need itâ)He was rightMelt in the mouth first class steak (excuse the pic, had to use flash) I felt like Iâd been vegan for years and was tasting meat for the first time. Thank you! Staff and owners all really friendly and chatty without being intrusive The place is a gem, itâs got a lovley buzz inside very cool building aswell Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu :)

This place is a bit ugly inside and it doesnât have a really nice environment to spend a night drinking with friends. The food, though, was good and arrived fast in the table. I went there just because other restaurants were full already and I would just return in the same case.

We are an Irish Pub & Restaurant in the city centre of Groningen. We pride ourself in making true traditional Irish food with a modern twist. We have a wide selection of Beers, Spirts and Wine. Come and visit us on Oosterstraat 67 in Groningen Holland.
We went twice for dinner and in both cases we were very happy, Friendly staff happy to help and a nice environment, a bit noisy but it is ok. We had the ribs and steak and we were very happy. Nice portions and good meat. Good selection of beer makes everything even more enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit..

Welcome at 'De Drie Gezusters'! Groningen and the âDe Drie Gezustersâ are inextricably connected with each other. Situated in the exact centre of the city of Groningen, one could argue it is the most prolific Grand Café in town since the early 70âs. Eithe
Sporting a flashy visage the three pub bistros do their number across the Grote Mkt cheek to cheek. There is a large outdoor seating area which gets very crowded on a sunny day. Other there is a huge space with the longest bar in town and booths and tables inside.Service is prompt and quick and your server is not above a little chat.A great place to bunk down especially when a music performance is on in the square.

Coffee, Genever, Beer and also good bread and fillings. More than 50 different beers, even their own Ja Beer. Lots of snacks at any time, bread, salad, Flammkuchen. A place to be - with tradition. Efficient and fast service. Reasonably priced.

We hadnât realised that the different sections all had different menus. We could oversee a different section from the wine bar area and got a lot of food envy! What we had was tasty and it was good to see local options as well as international options. The cocktails need more description for those outside the cocktail bar and unable to ask the staff. We took a punt on a couple and they werenât that nice. I asked the waiter to ask the cocktail experts for something very sweet that didnât really taste of alcohol. Have done this in multiple places and got absolutely delicious results. He basically talked me into something else off the menu which was undrinkable. We gave up and went to another bar. Would be 3* but the very funky decor added a star!
