We love our nights out at Paradox - always welcomed like old friends. The food is excellent and well presented. The cocktails are superb - we have our favourites and try different ones each time too. Although a lot of the younger generation enjoy their weekend nights out here, we do not feel out of place and we enjoy the lively atmosphere and music on a Saturday night especially. There's often Groupon vouchers available for cocktails or food which are worth buying - once you've been here I think you will return again and again as we do.

Went for lunch ... after waiting for half an hour for order to be taken , when it finally came after another half an hour the food was cold ( only a toasted sandwich how can this happen ) I told the young waitress who took it back to the kitchen ... after about 15 mins I Look for the waitress and asked where it was as my sister who was with me had finished her food. She went the kitchen then brought it and it was Luke warm. As I didnât want another wait I ate it but asked for extra tea on the house as the pot brought the previous hour was cold. This she did. After asking for the bill alas 15 mins later it still hadnât arrived so we went to the counter to pay . The waitress who had served us was very rude and said to another girl ... you serve these as Iâm not .I will definitely not be returning and I suggest they get professional staff not rude onesI do apologise if you felt that staff were rude Moira, I do assure you we go above and beyond to ensure staff are always polite and welcoming to our customers. I did follow up on this and spoke with the staff on shift and they have assured me it was a misunderstanding and what the member of staff actually did was ask for the supervisor to serve you as she was busy attending to one of our other customers, not at all that she did not want to serve you. I can understand it would be upsetting if you thought this was the case. We would never want our customers to go home feeling anything but happy and pleased with the service. I hope you will visit again and give us another chance.

Nice bar/restaurant. Decor is cosy but modern, there is a large outdoor seating area, which is great when the weather is warm. Downside is that there is no table service outside, so to order food/drinks you have to go inside each time.Had a large selection of the Tapas/Small Plates type food, which all came pretty quickly, and piping hot. Most were excellent, would highly recommend the Chunky Chips (these were my personal favourite, absolutely delicious), chicken strips with chimichurri sauce, crispy beef (this was in a delicious sauce, we used to mop up our garlic bread afterwards), salt and pepper halloumi fries (YUM!!! Restaurants never seem to get that Salt and Pepper right, but these definitely did).A couple of us had prawns, which were a massive disappointment "pan fried" they definitely were not, they were still white and pink, more like poached/boiled/reheated, and there was a butter heavy sauce, not white wine. We couldn't eat much of these, beyond trying them unfortunately. The nachos were a bit of a conundrum, when first served they were delicious, seemingly hand made and large. However they were covered in cheese and a cheese type sauce, and stood up around all of the dips, so after a few minutes they were all completely soggy and inedible.A selection of a couple of desserts would be a welcome addition also. Can't really complain for the price and service, I'd be back, would just avoid ordering the above again.

Excellent value for money. Booked online for 3 at 19.00 hrs. We were given a choice of tables and drinks ordered. We skipped starters, and our mains were served in 20 mins! The rump steaks were good and so was the gammon. However there only seemed to be English mustard available if you didn't choose an additional sauce. The apple crumble was spot on!The manager and staff should be congratulated on their fast and efficient service. If I have to make one criticism, it would be that the Gents could do with a makeover! Thanks for taking the time to let us know how we did. We're glad to hear we delivered such a great experience. If there's anything further we can do for you, we are happy to help!

Lovely meal there were a lot of us and the staff managed very well the food was good and came out more or less all together, the only thing I could say is that it was a little short on extras, for example steak and chips was just that no salad or mushrooms, likewise the lamb sizzler they were both lovely but just a bit basic.

Fanatical about flames; silly about smokers and utterly obsessed with the smells, tastes and traditions of the Deep South. Our smokin' hot menu is available all day every day, from smokehouse classics including ribs, Texas style beef brisket, to steak and
I must remember not to do the early shift in the evening. Just too many kids - HOWEVER they were all very well behaved but just a little too noisy for a miserable old s** like me. Staff great and food excellent. Drinks came out of a bottle ! Everything to my liking. Reading a menu in the conservatory part is very difficult so I used my phone light. I was so please to see many others (and younger) doing the same - may be something to consider guys?Hi Howard-Liverpool,Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It's great to hear that you were well looked after and you enjoyed the food!We will take on board your comments about the lighting in the Veranda - Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We hope to see you again soon.Best Wishes,Tom

Very warm welcome by staff in very pleasant surroundings. We had the set three course which gave limited choice but was very competitively priced with a bottle of their house red ( excellent). It was our decision to choose the set lunch menu , which was well cooked and appropriate , and it did not disappoint. However perhaps we should have been more adventurous. We certainly would go back.Hence five stars because it delivered what it said on the label and I could not fault their service or atmosphere and the food was our choice based upon value for money . Great place to take the family.Thank you so much 54ken_S, that was a lovely and detailed review for us. We hope to see you again soon so you can explore our menu even more. Thanks, Ceri.

At The Gravesberie Inn we're obsessed about our food and service. Whatever the occasion, quality, freshness, value for money and great service all matter.
Visited the gravesberie inn at the weekend to celebrate family birthdays. We were shown to our table that was private which was amazing. Table was decorated with helium balloons which was a nice addition. Our server for the evening Jeannie, was very attentive and helpful taking our order for drinks and then for our food. Our meals were all excellent and could not be faulted. I had the seafood grill which was well presented and delicious. My husband had rump steak and beef dripping gravy, which he said was cooked just as he had asked. Excellent in every way.

Ate here with a large family group on Sunday. Pub was nice enough and staff fine. I ordered the roast and although the portions were large and the meat OK, the Yorkshire was on the cold side and the crispy parsnips were over done. Funny choice of veg for this time of year. Others did report their choices were good though.
