This is our second time to eat at Jimmy's. The food is truly delicious and you can taste the freshness. I'm a healthy eater therefore I greatly appreciate this restaurant since they only use fresh and locally grown vegetables and fresh fish. The atmosphere is great, too, since it is directly over the water. The views are spectacular. Eventhough it was Labor Day weekend and the place was packed, they still were able to serve us with a smile.

Nate's West End is a fun, casual, family friendly bar & grill on the west end of Galveston Island. Come see why we're a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike. Try house favorites like Pecan Crusted Red Snapper, Grilled Fresh Gulf Flounder, plus Hand
This was my third or fourth time to eat at Nateâs. Iâve never been disappointed. Iâve had Chicken Fried Steak, Red Snapper, and Fried Shrimp! The okra is fantastic, but the slaw is lacking. Itâs always busy. Monday night is Martini Night and rumor is they are pretty good. The building is not impressive. But like they say - You canât judge a book by itâs cover. Well, you also canât judge a seaside restaurant by itâs shell. I certainly be back!

We wanted just a sandwich for lunch but ended up having their lunch specials and good onion rings. The beer was nice and cold and the food hot. The view of the ocean and the warm breeze completed the whole experience.

The staff in this bar/restaurant are absolutely superb. You never wait for drinks and the food delivery is prompt. In fact I have no reason to complain. The restrooms are very clean and tidied regularly. The young lady, Tiffany, who sorts out tables is one in a million. Exceptionally polite and tries to the best of her ability to be very good with all customers. I recommend this young lady is nurtured and with more experience you could have an excellent employee on your hands.

We had a group lunch with our tour company. We had a limited selection of entrees from the menu. My wife & I had the coconut shrimp. There were about 5 large shrimp that were so tasty. It was served over a stir fried vegetable & rice mixture with a sweet tasting sauce. It was incredibly delicious. They had a nice kids menu for our granddaughters. The service was excellent.

In 1998, there lay a vacant lot with three vacant houses. The land was prime, yet undeveloped, and the houses were set to be demolished. Our founders set out to save the houses â picking them up, bringing them here, and building a restaurant from them. Af
Rainy day with limited choices for lunch and bro wanted a burger. Where else but the Spot? He got the King burger (he said it was the best burger he ever had) and I opted for the shrimp po boy. My, oh, my! So many shrimp on this bun that I really couldn't fold it to take a bite. I counted 22 of the most delicious Gulf shrimp on a tasty bun which left my last experience ordering a po boy in the dust ( that eatery had 5 lonely shrimp on their po boy). Zachery was our order taker and he was so helpful and polite to my first timer brother that he deserves props for sure!Rain or shine, Sunny, we'll always be here for you and your bro to have a great burger and an even better po'boy! Whenever you want another, we would love to see you. Until next time, Dennis B., Head Busboy/ Burger Flipper

I am usually disappointed with restaurant-prepared Gulf fish in Galveston. Weâve been several places supposed to be excellent and they have missed the mark. Itâs either undercooked, over seasoned, or smothered in a sauce that overpowers the fish. The Gulf Red Snapper here is carefully grilled and lightly seasoned to amplify the fishâs natural flavor. The salad of field greens, Gorgonzola scalloped potatoes and Tuscan Pino Grigio- oh, it was all delicious. My husband hates fish but tried this and wished he had ordered it. Could not beat the gorgeous Victorian building or our server Nanetteâs friendliness and skill in helping me pair the fish with sides and wine. This was one of the best prepared Gulf Red Snappers Iâve had in my life. We will definitely be back to the Galvez Bar and Grill again. Worth every penny!Wow, thank you for the glowing review of Galvez Bar & Grill. We are thrilled you enjoyed your snapper. That's great feedback. We hope to see you again soon.
