Over the years we have eaten at the Franklin Applebee's several times. The menu has changed as well and we wanted to try this latest menu variant. Having the steaks back as a feature to me is a good thing, always liked Applebee's sirloin steaks for their good value, taste & sufficient volume of food. Both of us had the 8 oz. Sirloin with the mushroom & onion toppings. They were both cooked & seasoned perfectly. The restaurant was clean as were the rest rooms. The service was fair but the wait was especially long, really long otherwise the score would have been higher.
Best Comfort Food in Franklin. combined with vegan and gluten free. Breakfast Buffet $10 every Saturday & Sunday from 8-1.
We were expecting a good place for breakfast and heard good reports on the above location. Both of our meals were very good(eggs benedict&omlet). My wife asked if she could have some fruit instead of potatoes(9 and no mention of extra charge) and I was asked what toast I wanted(again no mention of extra charge). The fruit was $4.00 extra and my toast was $2.00 extra. I have never been charged $1.00 per slice of toast, always thought toast was included for breakfast. So be sure to ASK BEFORE saying anything.

We love Chili's and eat there fairly often. Our most recent visit was a disappointment, to say the least. First, the good: I have recently gone gluten-free, and Chili's does have some good offerings those who are avoiding gluten. On their website, they have detailed information about menu items for those who are avoiding certain allergens. Our waitress was good, bringing extra napkins (we have kids) and drink refills without having to ask. Now the not-so-good:- Our table was not clean. You could tell it has been wiped down with a wet cloth, because there was a thick film on it. I'm mildly germaphobic, and this it gross. - When I got up to go the bathroom, I smelled that musty bar smell that seems like they're using towels too long and they've gone sour.- As I turned the corner to the hallway that leads to the bathrooms, there was a sewer gas smell. Not very appetizing.- I hate those little terminals that are now on each table. We don't go to restaurants to play games and stare at a screen. Now we have to check ourselves out using this device. - Even though we never used it, there was a charge on our bill for playing games on that little terminal. I had to wait about five minutes for the waitress to come back and then go remove the charge. The food was good, as always, but overall the experience was not pleasing. Looks like we won't be going to Chili's as often.

We had wings and beer. All good. Live music started at 7 and was fun. People are super friendly and make for a pleasant unpretentious place. So glad you stopped in for a couple cold ones and some wings! Sorry it took me so long to say so. If you're ever back in the area, we'd love to have you in again. Until then, Karen D., Owner

Visited Greek's with friends for the first time on a Friday evening - the place was packed. We were seated within 5 minutes, and our waitress, Jay, was quite prompt in taking our order. We split a large pizza amongst the three of us, plus an cheesy garlic bread appetizer, and had plenty of food. The pizza was fabulous - not too bready, with sesame seeds on the crust, and LOTS of meat and veggies. The sausage was excellent! We ordered it custom, since some of us liked mushrooms and pepperoni, while others didn't - and it arrived perfectly made. Jay took good care of us, checked on us regularly, and was friendly and funny. Great waitress!I'll be back again in Franklin, and looking forward to visiting Greeks again - can't wait!

After fifty-plus years within twenty miles of the place and never having been there, had lunch at The Willard yesterday. What a gem it is, seemingly unchanged from its early days as a hotel. Situated right downtown, it's easy to get to and handy to most everything, including the Historic Artcraft Theater, just next door. The main dining room is small, some would say intimate, with a big red neon sign, "Willard Hotel". The menu was surprisingly extensive, offering something for just about everyone. Our server was cordial, knowledgeable, and quite helpful. Service was prompt, it being busy lunch hour at high noon. Servings were generous, and my tuna salad on rye was very good. Beer was refreshingly cold. Everyone in our party was pleased with the food, service, and surroundings. Sorry it took so long to get here for the first visit...have to make up for lost time!
