Your real local pub since 1880! Fine food, amazing ales & glorious gins. Oh and probably the loveliest garden for miles..
We had travelled a fair distance to Epsom General Hospital to see our first grandchild born in the Bradbury wing. We took a little stroll through the park when we saw this lovely little quiet pub. There weren't many people there but just inside the pub were what I politely call football hooligans I say that because they were shouting EEAGLLES You cannot ban a chelsea fan YIDDOs etc etc. No one came to serve us they to busy "looking after" a guy about my age who was saying look I have told you already there is 5 grand in the account and no your WEE FEE is not working and I have already spent my emergency tenner where's the nice canadian - he was just met with abuse about being pissed. Anyway he calmly said can I have some water then before I leave and I watched nervously pour a glass and the whole lot came down. The lager louts then turned on him but he calmly set off collecting his heavy bags of shopping. The abuse he got was a sign of our times kiddy fiddler paedo turd burglar sausage pirate etc etc but he just walked away. My dear wife said Imagine if we were in San Diego. Well no-one came to serve us as they were now too busy sweeping up glass to make matters I suddenly realised I had left my wallet in the car something I have never done before. So we left and we couldn't even get a glass of water and then just set off on our drive back to Plymouth. It was not such a long journey as usual as we were so happy with seeing our dear little girl. Oh by the way I am a retired naval commander as we drove we joked about our short visit to the land of the rising sun but we argued a little about the quiet man with his shopping - it was obvious he was in the services but we couldn't agree which branch. I thought he would be a captain but she who must be obeyed said major - would we go back no - but our family around the area who are also serving her majesty will be popping in now !Hi Adrian,Congratulations on the birth of the grandchild. Sorry to hear that you didn't get to experience our pub to the full effect. If you get the chance to come back, you will get the service our team has been giving to all those who join us.Kind Regards,Adam

We had not visited The Grumpy Mole for a few years as had had a couple of disappointing meals. However, thought we would give it a chance and were very pleasantly surprised!Excellent service from our waitress and a very good menu. Both our meals were excellent....especially the steak and kidney pudding!!Lovely setting and easy parking. Will certainly return again.

I visit this local pub that has remained mainly unspoilt for many years, a true local pub that is still very friendly to visitors. This is further enhanced by a varied table menu with changing specialities as well as a comprehensive tapas menu that I regularly choose. Just donât over order from the tapas menu as portions are large and five dishes which are a feast rarely cost more than £25. Great personal service and friendly staff help the feeling of this period pub.

Wine and Dine in style. Honoured to represent "Great Britain's Best Places." "The only Pub in the world on a racecourse." Delighted to be included in Sheik Mohammad's Diary.
Even though we were very late for lunch, they were still offering food and good service. The location on Epsom Racecourse is brilliant, with super views over the Downs. We both chose a salad, and each was delicious. Straightforward food done very well.My only criticism would be of the poor range of non-alcoholic drinks on offer, none of which featured on the wine or beer lists.I would definitely go there again.

We're open all day, every day for good food and drink. Family-friendly dining, extensive Main Menu; a changing Specials Menu, a Vegan Menu and a Children's Menu. Large car park and pleasant patio and garden seating for warmer months.
We met friends here for a lunch - taking our Cockapoo Stanley with us. it's so nice to go where dogs are not only welcomed but really accommodated. Staff were very friendly and service was good. Food is good - typical pub grub.We weren't rushed - but we were well looked after. That's great to hear! Thanks for such a lovely review, Susanna - we hope to welcome you and Stanley again soon :o)

Caballo Lounge is in a great little spot at the Ewell end of Epsom High Street. Our lovely full width big windows open right up, perfect for watching the world go by on the High Street, and thereâs a rather special hidden large roof terrace with some beau
The place (in Epsom) seems full of "nice" people & the menu is certainly sufficient but you always have to queue at the bar to get even a drink & there are only 2 barstaff taking orders for drink & food!. You must know your table number beforehand to order food so if you turn up early ( which is always the case) then you either have to wait at a table with your dink then queue again for food or take a chance that no one will claim your table whilst you are off getting food or a drink!Hello GeoffM196,thank you so much for your comments about the atmosphere and the menu of our lounge. Our ordering policy is being reviewed on a branch to branch basis, however this is a method adopted by many casual dining brands. Please come and ask the manager on duty if you need any help the next time you visit us and we'll be more than happy to assist you.Kind regards,Gina.

Refreshing drinks, lovely beer garden, fantastic food and amazing staff, what's not to like? Every Wednesday is the Rifleman Pub Quiz! It's probably the best pub quiz anyone has ever experienced so make sure you're there.
I meet a friend here on a regular basis and we canât fault the food or the service! They are happy to do large parties with buffet food, which we enjoyed last summer for a birthday Really nice local pub with good food Thank you.

Went in for a meal bar area most tables full and 3 people waiting at the bar. One person there only. Asked waitress if any room in Restaurant and she checked and had a table available. Restaurant not that full but large table looking at menus. Only two other tables full. After a while she had not taken the order of the other table or given us menus. Politely asked if she was on her own to which she confirmed and thanked her but said we had a lunch hour and felt service would be slow. As proceeded out heard that the person at the bar Sam was a deputy manager. Explained the position and asked him if there was any staff. He replied was waiting for them and canât you see how hard Iâm working youâre just have to be patient in a rude manner.Service has no priority here it appears and this deputy manager cannot be doing his job as canât even staff the place or be civil.

The Jolly Coopers is a family owned free house serving a range of cask conditioned craft ales, fine wines and a contemporary pub menu devised by our chef, which features high quality seasonally available ingredients.
Tried it today for 1st time and was very impressed with service, menu and choice of beers.Other similar local pubs should take note.Need to book beforehand to avoid disappointment.

The Cock Inn is located in the pretty location of Headley Village in Epsom and forms part of the Red Mist Leisure family of pubs. Serving fresh, local and seasonal dishes and drinks, this pub is a great summer and winter destination with a great terrace g
Meant to be family lunch but turned out be a nightmare.Burgers from barbecue which were not cooked enough hence stomach up set.Waited 50 minutes for a bowl of chips and two kids meals which was basicfish and chips and kept asking eventually told the lost the order so cancelled the kids meals and wold think twice about recommending them.Dear hermineb725Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Not an easy read when we strive to deliver exceptional standards of food and service, which you clearly didn't receive. Please accept my sincere apologies on behalf of the team. The bank holiday Monday was incredibly busy but this is no excuse for the poor experience you received. I would really appreciate the opportunity to talk to further and better understand what happened. Would you please get in touch with me directly [email protected] and hopefully arrange a suitable time to talk. Kind regards, Amy
