Enjoy the highest level of professional service with an addition of classical style within the dining room and its unadulterated opulence of décor, one of the very few restaurants of period features left in the locality, or unparalleled surrounding with a
We just stopped for coffee. The lady at the reception desk was extremely helpful and we were soon sitting on the patio beside a sun drenched garden waiting for our coffees and shortbread to arrive. It was fascinating walking through the whisky dominated bar which I later learned had 1050 different brands of whisky. Parking is easy.Great to read that you received our special Glenesk Hospitality for your coffee visit. We appreciate your positve feedback with regards to our facilities here and hope that you have the opportunity to re-visit the hotel again soon.Kind Regards,Martin McilrathGeneral Manager

Called in here for a lunch and found it to be very satisfactory. It was reasonably busy but service was prompt, efficient and courteous. The smoked haddock and bacon risotto was especially nice. A good feature of this hotel is that all of the main courses were offered as full or half portions. We had a starter followed by half portions and this was quite enough to eat at lunchtime and made for a modest bill of £31 for two including two soft drinks.Well worth a visit.

Hickory Restaurant @ Brechin Golf Club Always expect a warm welcome in lovely surroundings in a great atmosphere. Visitors Welcome
Although the restaurant had been recommended we had a much better meal at the Northern Hotel. The folks at the golf club restaurant could take some cues from the staff at the hotel. Was also charged more for items which were listed on board for a lower price but did not realize until after we left. The food was nothing special.

Met by friendly staff who quickly showed us to our table. They were very knowledgeable about special. Menu board. Usual pub grub with a few specials from starters through to sweets. Although we all ordered different meals these arrived altogether piping hot. Only fault is when advertising steak pie to me steak pie is made with pastry cooked on top, not stewed steak with a pastry slice on top (which many other restaurants do) steak pies not steak pie with a soggy bottom..Meals enjoyed by all.

Brechin's foremost real ale pub & restaurant. In CAMRA's Good Beer Guide since 2005. Great food freshly prepared by our chef Stephen Field served in the relaxing and welcoming environment of our large wood-and-stone open-plan bar/dining area. A great sele
Group of 6 out to celebrate one lady’s Birthday tonight. Chose from the”Early Bird “ menu...2 courses for £13 or 3 for £16. I had a black pudding and goats cheese tower to start and it was absolutely delicious!! And what a serving!! Most of us then had curries, all delicious, no complaints, and service with a smile and some friendly banter as usual from Heather. All in all a lovely evening.
