Garvey's is a Bar and a Lounge with the Lounge serving food every day. And whilst it's more like the menu in any Irish home, it is tasty grub and it doesn't take long before you are served, it is consistently busy (which is a good sign), and the Bar next door has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

I had an incident with the bouncers last week, after being in touch with the manager myself and my boyfriend were brought back last night for a meal for what had happened the previous week, I canât thank the manager and staff enough for how well they looked after us! They were so nice and we were looked after to a very High standard ! My opinion on the restaurant has completely changed after the experience I had there last night and would recommend it to anyone for the staff and food , it just goes to show that just because the bouncers werenât very welcoming that the restaurant staff definitely are and Iâm so thankful for everything grace and Jason done for us last night it was much appreciated.

Great buzz about the place. Only thing is the seats are always reserved. Had to drink in back bar last time as all the empty seats in the front were reserved. This is a bit off putting. Weâll be thinking twice before we go with a gang again.

50 mins waiting, when asked about order we were told it was due to my chicken dish taking time to cook - this wasnât flagged and when it arrived it was over cooked... kids carrot sticks - raw took thirty minutes and two reminders. Place was less then half full and other table returned meals... duende is ok generally but wonât be back... kids crying w hunger by the time it arrived. I felt sorry for waitress as she was lovely but it seemed to be an issue I. Kitchen... I walked up to door at one stage and it appeared there might be a go slow... we literally were about to leave and I am making toast as still hungry as portion of chicken dish tiny... that said kids pasta was nice and others enjoyed their burgers.

Wow. First time here. We loved it. We had Mexican food options and both were yummy. Full of flavours. Will definitely be back. Bar man Padraig (I think!) was great. Made me a special cocktail. Again, yummy.

Three of us visited and were very pleased with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff from beginning to end - Julija was excellent and had a sese of humour! We had a great variety of food to chose from and were delighted that there was an early bird selection of first class food - prawn pasta which was delicious, vegetarian stir fry and for me good old fish and chips! Excellent food well presented and plenty on the plates. Compliments to the chef - obviously knows what he/she is about. Place was quite busy and getting busier as we left, plenty of people who knew exactly what was available. Would highly recommend and will be returning sooner rather than later. Thanks to the staff.Thank you for your comments regarding your experience at the Black Bull Inn. We welcome all comments good or bad as it helps us to deliver a better dining experience for you the customer. Your comment will be passed on to our kitchen staff and your server.Regards

We operate a strictly over 21s policy for food and drink. We advise if you're coming for either to bring ID regardless of age.
Went here for Christmas night out with friends. Was shocked when the food arrived out stacked in boxes, sauces in large plastic bottles and kitchen roll in the middle of the table. Very rough and ready and because there was no room on the table, we balanced the boxes on our lap. Food was tasteless and just cheap skinny chips. However, as a bar, the atmosphere was very good, cosy and nice festive decorations, staff were friendly and attentive. I would go again but definitely not for food, even Eddie Rockets is a step up from this.

Whilst visiting Drogheda we needed somewhere to visit for a late lunch that was suitable for adults and children. The Hops Bar has a good menu selection and Louise was very attentive.
