A few weeks ago the Rotary Club of Tain and Easter Ross met at the St Duthus for a Thursday evening meeting. We all chose from the standard menu. The portions were excellent, the food well cooked and the staff as friendly and helpful as ever.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening with family. Service was fast, friendly and helpful. Food, quite frankly, was superb. For one of the party, who for health reasons often cannot enjoy eating out as one might wish, they tailored to need exceptionally well and left her enthusiastic about having eaten. Every member of the party delighted with both quality and quantity. Highly recommended.

Typical bar food menu. Homemade chips which is great as I hate frozen. Portion size very good also. They allow dogs in bar area so great if your travelling with your pooch.

Nice place and comfortable surroundings. Menu a little uninspiring and vegetarian options a bit boring but ordered the enchiladas and they were lovely. My friend had chips with her meal and they looked really nice. Reasonable prices. But service was slow and we were a little neglected. Would go back.

Given that this was a pub and we ate in the bar (having pre booked a table in the restaurant) overall, we enjoyed the experience. The table we were given was awful, situated right outside the toilets!, so not the best start. Our waitress was very nice and looked after us very well, the menu was pretty good and we all enjoyed different meals at a reasonable price. the bar itself was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, not bad.

Quick visit to Dornoch and could not resist having an impromptu scotch tasting. Everyone in our group of four ordered a different single malt and we retired to the garden to sample and share. Bar staff were very helpful with recommendations and really friendly. The bar is nice the garden is terrific - if the weather cooperates.
