What we call a "brown pub" (een bruine kroeg). Very welcoming place with a great variety of beers on tap and from the bottle. Cheers-like place where you meet people spontaneously even if you're not from the neighbourhood. If I lived here, it would become my favourite watering hole.

Used to visit this "brown" pub/restaurant for many years. There was a changeof "local" management and we did not recognize the "friendly" atmosphereadhered to "the Rog". Other than pleasing the client, it seemed that we hadto please the "manager on duty". Our advise: You better change your attitude or you will loose your customer base.

As regular visitor of Texel, we sometimes do eat in the Smulpot, known to us as a reasonable priced restaurant, where you can have a decent meal. Our last visit was a deception: the gamba's were tastless and swimming in a layer of oil (1.5 cm depth). When the waitress asked it if we did like the food, we friendly told him that this was below expectations, This resulted in a remarkable reaction: "this is how we cook it, because this is how we like it." . Turning his back to us, and ignoring us the rest of the evening. This is unacceptable behaviour.

I visited this place more than 10 years ago amd remembered it well for it's great food. After all that time, when i was back on the island, i convinced the family to go here and we were not disappointed. This is tbe best place to eat on the entire island! The dishes they serve are superbly tasty amd the overall atmosphere here is nice and casual. A must go for anyone on the island!

Amazingly it was quite difficult to find a place with breakfast at 10.30 am on a Sunday in the middle of holiday season... so we ended up in the Bistro 110.The food is average, but it has a huge variety - all typical Dutch breakfast, which is exactly what I expected from it.Service is super pleasant and efficient!

Restaurant is located in a street full of pubs. We had a ribeye and a tournedos. We ordered it both rare. It was served rare with a jacked potatoe and chips. And.....a very big cook knife which was amazingly sharp. The taste was wonderful. A a dessert we wanted a coffee and just a scope of ice... Was not on the menu but it was no problem to serve it. Wonderful restaurant. Should have 6 stars.
