A friendly local community pub with a large garden and children's play area. All major sports shown live. Dog friendly. Food served daily from 12 p.m. till 9 p.m.
Came in today with a friend, had the miso burger absolutely amazing. Fast service, really friendly atmosphere, and landlord Jason was very accommodating. Highly recommend.

Visited solo when down for work. Firstly, the 2 staff were very pleasant. The beer menu is excellent. Several Belgian beers on tap and a great range of around 100 bottled beers. The food was excellent. Prawn, chorizo and halluomi kebabs! Huge pork belly for main course. What a place this is. Well recommend and will be back if I'm in Southsea again.

Opened in 2018 and housed within the former Southsea Post Office building on Palmerston Road, Croxton's is an independent kitchen and tap house that offers a relaxed industrial dining experience, alongside a great selection of craft beers and real ales. D
The venue is nice down a street packed with bars and restaurants. There are a range of good food options which are well prepared and tasty. We had a burger and a vegetarian shawarma both of which were good. This is definitely above normal pub standard. The place was quiet when we got in and got pretty busy by the end. All good.

You know what youâre going to get in Wetherspoons and itâs great for a get together and a tasty cheap breakfast. I was with about nine friends and as we went to the bar we were greeted by a miserable barmaid who told us we should have booked. I didnât know you could book but according to mrs miserable there was only one member of staff on and she couldnât do everything. Apparently if we had booked more staff would have been booked in. Well - there was actually at least two other staff working and probably more behind scenes - all perfectly happy and polite employees. I fail to see what the difference is between one group of ten and five couples arriving at the same time. As we left mrs miserable cane to clear our table - muttering abuse loud enough for us to hear. Itâs a shame that one member of staff can spoil a breakfast date but we will just use a different Wetherspoons in future.

The Staff are welcoming and well informed as to what they sell and they keep their celllar in good order, donât walk by the modest exterior come in you wonât be disappointed John Boy

Traditional public house with 7 real ales. Stunning views across Portsmouth and the Solent. Food served 12-2 Mon to Sat. Music Tuesday evenings. Fortnightly music quiz Sunday evenings.
When visiting relatives in Portsmouth The George is always on my list of places to visit. It is my ideal of a pub - excellent choice of draught beers, friendly staff and no television. There is a good choice of lunchtime food and a great view over Portsmouth. Whatâs not to like?

Located next to Port Solent East premier inn
1st order, mixed grill medium rare steak. Clearly not medium rare, gammon was tough as old boots, although the chicken was passable. All this for 16.992nd order the vegan sloppy Joe. Or should it be no slop dryer than the atacama desert. What's the point of catering for plant based when they serve rubbish. All for £13Maybe I'm just a snob, but please don't highly rate a place that is mediocre at the very best.

A traditional English pub, serving great food in the Historical Conservation Area of Castle Street. Castle Street leads to the beautiful English Heritage site of Portchester Castle and St Mary's Church. Just a 5 minute drive from Portchester Crematorium,

We stayed overnight in our Motorhome in Southwick and the welcome we received in the Golden Lion was excellent. Wide choice of real ales, ciders and good wine and our food was very very good with large portions. Best of all was the friendly and helpful staff. A place we will return to whenever in the area.
