This resto has good reviews already so expectations Are High entering the place. A polite and smiling welcome makes us good, the wine suggestion is qualified and the menue exciting... and There the food arrives; a fresh and very well tasting salad amongst them as a starter, but then the point of This text... the meat, my goodness its fantastic! The entrecot is not only one of my best ever, but the size (I did overeat..) and the price is unbeatable... It was some totally perfectly prepared vegetables next to it, so What could be said more.. If around, go-go!!

Fantastic little bar/restaurant in the village of Colmenar. Excellent selection of home made tapas at very reasonable prices (â¬1 - 2 each).Pepa is very Spanish and very efficient and friendly and she runs the front of house. Antonio is the chef who occasionally comes out of the tiny kitchen for a beer between orders !Two or three little tables out front allow one to watch the people of Colmenar go about their business, while a charming courtyard inside allows you to have a quieter time away from the traffic. There is also a more formal, sit down restaurant area.

Warm, friendly, family-run bar, with an emphasis on good, wholesome, home-made pub grub. Full menu, plus regularly changing Special´s Board. Full English Breakfast daily. Pool Table, Darts Board, TV Sport and Free Wifi. Large pub garden. Live entertainmen
We originally came to this place to eat, however ended up only having drinks. The trip adviser reviews of this pub tricked us, we thought this would be a nice place to eat for a special occasion, inside looks rundown however outside looks fairly nice. Sorry but the reviews are genuine and are not misleading good or bad they are true customer views and the vast majority are good, the photos are also up to date.We actually redecorated inside in January but have done nothing the exterior! If you would have eaten you would have seen the rave reviews about the food were true.I hope you return and maybe next time try the food.
Nice and cosy place in the country side. Very cheap and delicious tapas. Always stopping there to have tapas. Friendly and nice staff.

This was our second visit to La plaza bar for Sunday lunch. Whilst the food is really highly commendable the service is chaotic. The system,if it worked, would be acceptable. Each table is called up to the buffet as space becomes free.We are sure this is based on time you book a table. However tables who had already been served clearly were jumping in for second and third helpings, way before first time around customers had had a look in.Whilst there was still plenty to eat we did not want to wait a good 40 mins for a plate of roast. The carver was grumpy, limited yorkshire to one per person and little apple sauce on offer. The waitress did try to apologise when a table of four jumped the que....but would we go back? Sorry but doubt it very much. Judy and David BattenHi Judy and David, So sorry that you were disappointed with your visit this time. Our Carvery is always busy, being that it is an "all you can eat" Sunday Lunch. Unfortunately we have no control of who books a table, and how they behave. On this day we had a rather rowdy party of 14, that seemed to be over indulging and throwing the kitchen and staff into overdrive. To be honest, our worst nightmare! Hard to believe the Carver himself was grumpy, and all who know him will surely agree! He is usually the happiest chap! As for your Yorkies, it was probably the last 2 in the bowl at that time, all you had to do was ask for more, and the same for the apple sauce. The nature of the Carvery is to constantly refill all the serving dishes and sometimes it is can slip a little. The only robots are the cookers and ovens, the rest of the workers are humans.Don't forget the first time you came, it must have been more pleasing to you both, you did come back!

This bar / restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is fantastic and really cheap. There is a good variety of dishes too including pasta dishes (as a lot of the other restaurants in Comares serve mainly meat and chips dishes.)We had a beautiful bottle of Rioja for 9 euros and the beer & soft drinks are very reasonable too.The staff are lovely and very helpful. Thereâs only one who can speak English but you get by and theyâre very pleasant. The service is a bit slow but if youâre not in a rush itâs a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the local square.I would definitely recommend.
