Forget 'casual dining.' That's an industry term so out of touch with how consumers eat and drink today. For premium quality and style; fare that's at times familiar and other times adventurous and a laid-back modern setting, Houlihan's is a true original.
My family and I recently dined at Houlihans in Cherry Hill. We had a lot to celebrate, 2 birthdays and an anniversary. My husband and I have been wanting to try an Impossible burger and we found out that Houlihans has them. Oh my goodness, they are amazing! Itâs a plant based burger that looks, cooks and tastes like meat. Everything we ordered was amazing from the appetizers to dessert. Not only was the food amazing but our server Samantha was also excellent. So glad we live only 5 minutes away. We will be back soon. We're glad you celebrated with us! Thanks so much for sharing, and we look forward to serving you again soon. - Ag

Decided on Bahama Breeze before catching a movie on a Tuesday night. We were greeted and sat immediately. For an appetizer we ordered the Crab Avacado stack. It was obviously not prepared fresh. It had a refrigerated ice cold feel to it and the shrimp were rubbery. For main courses there was Fish Tacos & Lobster and Shrimp Quesadillas. The Fish Tacos were well done and not breaded which was good. The Lobster Quesadillas were mostly cheese inside of a flour tortilla. There wasn't much of a lobster presence. The service was polite and timely which was important because there was a movie to catch. Overall I was not happy with the food. One good dish out of three is a fail for me. I don't think I'd try this again.

What a great hotel property to stay at and the restaurant has proven to be a steady winner. If the river park is open save room for dessert right outside the front door. The staff is super friendly, remember what you like to have, and add a level of comfort. Live music often and within walking distance to Old City.Thank you for taking a moment to share your review with us. We are thrilled you were impressed by our restaurant, and the Spruce Street Harbor Park! I am especially glad you found our staff friendly and accommodating. I honestly have no idea how this place (canât even call it a restaurant) has stayed in business as long as it has. We have lived in proximity for thirty years and have never been here but a co worker said that the food was actually really good and to not let the dilapidated exterior keep us away.On a whim we decided to try it. We are a family of 5 very hearty eaters. The interior was a cross between an old cafeteria/buffet from the mid throw it together!! The wait staff roll these weird carts with the food around ladling out brown God knows what into plastic cups to dip your steak in. Yes a $37 dollar filet mignon with an overly Smokey flavor and cold onion ring on top with a lovely plastic cup full of âjusâ I suppose. My son ordered a rack of ribs that he could not even get the knife through because there was no meat they were a rack of bones. The waitresses response was - oh that happens sometimes! Where - where does that happen!!! She asked if he would like something else and he was so disgusted that he refused an alternative. The food issues just continued - it didnât matter what it was.The final straw was when the bill came and we were charged $13.95 for the salad bar. I asked the waitress what this was and she said that the âmanagerâ took off the ribs but that there is a $13.95 salad bar fee. I said that he did not eat the salad bar and anyone that cleared the table saw that there were only 2 salad plates. She said thatâs just their rule. I asked to see the manager even though my family just wanted to leave at this point. I explained that my son did not eat from the salad bar to which she responded itâs on the menu there is a âseating feeâ for anyone that sits in the dining room and doesnât eat!!! I guess that this is how they compensate for an empty dining room! What?!?! I said that not that we would ever return again but that - regardless it is just bad business!! Her response was thatâs the rule and walked away!!!Save your money or spend just a little more and go to a real steakhouse in the city!!!

The place was a little busy, that seemed to be the reason for below average service. It took a while after receiving our hot order to receive forks, knives and napkins. Should have been done 15 minutes earlier. French fries were greasy, burgers were OK. I did like the sweet potato fries.

Obviously my negative review is of the minority, but I cannot say much to be desired about this restaurant (or at least in my experience). My husband didn't like it, and he never complains! This was our first and only visit to this restaurant. Our first impression walking in the door was that it was loud, very loud. It was a Saturday, around 12:35pm. They only offered a brunch menu, which I thought was strange for a Saturday. The menu was very limited, but not ordinary so we thought to give it a try. The waiter did not come over for 10 minutes for our drink order, and did not return for an additional 15 minutes. 25 minutes to order our food was too long, mostly because all this time we're waiting in a very LOUD restaurant. 15 minutes later the food comes, and not properly prepared. The over medium eggs came well done(the yolks were both broken), and the kids grilled cheese was hard as a rock to bite into(don't ever serve a kid thick bread), and my "fancy" grilled cheese was equally inedible(hard). Of course, I had to search for someone to inform the disaster of a meal we were served. We waited 40 minutes for goodness sake, and to have a crummy meal was unfortunate to say the least. Upon further inspection of my kids sandwich, I discovered why it was brick hard...rather than making A PROPER grilled cheese(how basic is it to make a grilled cheese?) the cook placed the 2 pieces of thick bread with cheese face up on a broiler pan, shoved it it the broiler to melt the cheese, then manually placed the pieces together. Why in the world would this cook do that? no clue. We should have left as soon as we walked in. Lesson learned...We left very dissatisfied and hungry... :-(

We've recently visited a few times and have been amazed by the pizzas. The thin crust are insanely good - favourite is the Kennett Square which the waitress recommended to me on my first visit - was thrilled at her recommendation.Inside has nice decor, very modern, pleasant atmosphere (though we've not yet visited during a busy period). Only reason I didn't rate a ful 5 was because the last time we visited there was clearly some kind of animosity/attitude between two of the servers and it was a little bit awkward and uncomfortable as one of them tried to serve us when the other already had. But despite that our waitress was very helpful and friendly. We couldn't ask for better feedback in regards to the food, and thank you for the kind remarks about our pizza and overall atmosphere! I encourage you to reach out to me at [email protected], so we can address the staff issue you experienced during your visit. Thanks for your feedback!

It was very tender and delicious.! My husbands fish was flaky and said it was good . They gave chips with my meal they were home made and yummy . I would go back and recommend it .
