We got into the Empire's parent hotel too late to eat at the formal restaurant, so we settled for the Lounge/Bar. For a Tuesday night, in the rain, under a winter storm watch, the place was fairly busy with groups of people who seemed more like locals on a night out, rather than weary travelers like ourselves. The room was loud, with multiple TV's showing many different sporting events and the din of people trying to be heard above the ambient noise of the room; it was a happy noise though. There is a small bar menu and daily specials, all which are obviously prepared in a proper kitchen, not just a microwave and hot plate. The food was well made and although not restaurant grade, it was much better than what we expected from a bar at 10:30 in the evening, on a Tuesday. The staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions and opinions.

The boys got wings. Spicy wings. Spicy, spicy wings.I got...oh lord, I don't know what, but here's a pic. It was rice balls (except they weren't balls, they looked like rigatoni)...and fish..in a spicy tomato sauce.OMG.It was spicy enough to make my nose run, but not make me sweat nastily.Yum.Yum.

We stayed 2 nights at the Holiday Inn and had drinks, lunch, and dinner here. (Breakfast also, not sure if it's the same management though.) For a Holiday Inn bar, this place exceeded expectations. It's your neighborhood bar, only in Queens! They had a good selection of beer, wine, and signature cocktails. If you're used to Manhattan prices this will seem like a bargain. Dinner specials were fantastic, although our server steered us to the Italian specialties, and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price. If you're traveling to Citi field from out of town, you're probably like us & searching for a decent restaurant close by. Not many choices for out-of-towners in the area honestly, so you should put this place at the top of your list even if you're not staying at the Holiday Inn. After an afternoon game we found ourselves at the bar with many locals, which seemed to affirm that this place has a solid reputation. Manager frequently circulated to be sure we were satisfied, and we were. We will be back.

Eat wings, drink beer and watch sports all in one place.
I bet a lot of people. But obviously I havenât been on 20th Avenue in a long time. Anyway, I needed some food to make me less hangry on a Saturday afternoon, and this fit the bill perfectly.

The Best Barbecue in NYC! Offering SLOW SMOKED GOODNESS! Home of the "INFAMOUS" BURNT ENDS! Never had them, we suggest you do! Guaranteed to change your life!
I love BBQ and make it a point to trying BBQ whenever I am in a new area.I was looking forward to trying the best BBQ in Queens...Hits and misses....Pros and Cons....Service was very good and very pleasant.Restaraunt was clean.Had a nice Imperial IPA.My brisket was dry with no bark or smoke ring. There was a thin layer of fat that provided the only moisture. See picture.Rib tips were good...but Ive had better. They were out of sauced ribs so I went with dry rub. They were very good.Mac & Cheese was very creamy, not my style but good flavor.Other meals at the table were brunch related and enjoyed. It is probably a true statement, the best in Queens.

Authentic French Cuisine by over 30 years experience celebrity chef, from escargot, fioe gras, duck confit to home made desserts
We've eaten lunch here several times since they opened under new management about 2 years ago. We like their price-fixed menu - for $20 p/p with choice of several entrees plus a starter or soup or salad, 2 sides included and dessert or coffee/tea. List of red & white wines, typically to go with the meal and other beverages from the full-service bar. On-site free parking & valet service in evening, and free parking on nearby streets - Q25 bus from Flushing has nearest stop across the street & not far from nearby BJ, Target & shopping mall on 20th Avenue. We skipped the salad & soup of the day, and 3 of us ordered the stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat, slice of (thick, fat & juicy) bacon and mussels in buttery garlic sauce as starter - came out hot & very good. Basket of bread was nice & warm, great for dipping into the yummy sauces & got refilled. Rib eye (10 oz.) steak ordered medium well came out great, as were the pork chops, thickly cut & very juicy, not dry. A # of basic lunch choices from $10 to $15 and that's very reasonable. For dinner, they have a variety of steak, including prime ribs - select cuts, aged slowly to perfection. NY cheesecake was tasty, portion sized enough for 2 of us to share & the coffee was very good, included as our 3-course lunch. It's a little bit out of the way for out-of-town tourists to visit but we enjoyed our meal, close enough for us to drive over on a weekday with the afternoon off. For a larger group or family celebrating a special occassion, they should be able to handle your reservation by calling ahead.
