I visited on Saturday lunchtime with friends and their dogs,it was a wet morning walking the dogs so I suggested we had lunch at the Fairmile which dog friendly. The dogs were wet but we were all welcomed by Danny and his friendly team,my friends were impressed how dog friendly it was with ware and treats. We all had lunch which everybody enjoyed and they impressed by the choices of ales and wines.Yet again another pleasant visit with great staff well done Danny.Sheilab427, we're happy to hear you had such a positive experience with our team! The Bear is an idyllic country pub steeped in history, that's been providing the locals of Cobham with a place to retreat since the 1700's. Our bar boasts local guest ales to craft beers as well an extensive wine list and classic cocktails. Our seasonal,
Very helpful staff & manager. Nothing was too much trouble, they moved tables around to accommodate our 4 dogs. Not an easy task with Giant Schauzers. Immediately water bowls for the dogs were brought to the table without asking.Food was excellent. After a nightmare journey on the M25 we were able to relax and enjoy our meal.We will be back!Hi Yvonne, Thank you for taking the time to leave our team a lovely review. We are so grateful for your kind words and it was our pleasure to look after you and your guests. I will certainly pass on you compliments to the team - we hope to welcome you back at The Bear soon.Kind regards,Sabrina

We visited this establishment on a busy Thursday lunchtime. The Inn on the Lake is situated in a beautiful setting, within a golf course and beside a stunning lake and surrounded by gorgeous gardens. The service was courteous and efficient. We had three courses. The portion sizes are not massive but perfectly adequate and all of our food was delicious. My only slight criticism would be that the Chocolate Brownie was not a Brownie but actually chocolate sponge (which contained nuts which were not mentioned on the menu!). It was very nice but not a gooey sticky brownie! We visited here prior to a visit to RHS Wisley and canât wait to plan another day to Wisley as an excuse to visit Inn on the Lake again - we live an hour and half away. Would highly recommend.

We are delighted to welcome you to our gorgeous pub and brasserie which has been given a beautiful new look. Set on idyllic Downside Common, pop in to our lovely bar which has inglenook fireplaces aplenty, cosy nooks and comfy armchairs to settle down in
This is a nice comfortable pub with plenty of parking. Service was good but it wasnât busy. All the food was ok but specifically my fish pie was very pleasant but not wow and a bit small. Side of green veg was quite cheffy and very good. The Gunpowder chicken was pretty average with the breast over cooked but the leg perfect. It lacked punch and when we asked for some Sriracha sauce on the side they didnât have any! This probably explains why the chicken was so bland as it was supposed to have sriracha in the glaze lol. The green papaya salad was almost perfectly balanced but with absolutely no chillis. I suspect this was deliberately âtouristâ rather than authentic. Beware the desserts - the pistachio soufflé tasted like an almond soufflé albeit green but beautifully light. The three scoops of ice cream were delicious but tiny. Great Irish coffee to follow but no calvados or Grand Marnier. I settled for a large Armagnac which was a perfect alternative. Will probably try again. Thank you for taking the time to write this review.I am glad that you enjoyed the service but can only apologise that the food did not meet expectations. We pride ourselves highly for the food and service that we offer so it is always disappointing to hear a guest did not receive such standard.Myself and the head chef shall be taking your feedback onboard and acting accordingly to ensure quality control is being adhered to.That being said we hope to see you again soon to regain faith in us.many thanks

Superb place to go, beautiful pub with excellent food and drink. Had the roast beef, and it was plentiful and delicious. The rest of my party had chicken and pork, all our plates went back empty. Very attentive staff, and the addition of a Bloody Mary menu is a great idea. Dear jamesk1983,Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent visit with us, sounds like you had the full "Rarebreed" experience we aim to provide for all of our guests. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.Kind Regards,Sam ReedRegional Manager

Nestled in idyllic countryside, The Black Swan Ockham is a local culinary hotspot, offering an inventive British menu using some of the best in fresh local and seasonal produce. A delightfully eclectic eatery, the pub and restaurant present a stunning int
The incredible team at the Black Swan make you feel like family every time. We celebrated a big 80th today and Jo who looked after us was absolutely amazing. Not only that but every single dish was truly delicious - and we were a large group. A must go to for anyone looking for a quaint and homely pub with an amazing team and Michelin star grade food.

Come and raise a glass amongst friends at The Running Mare, a traditional English country inn overlooking picturesque Tilt Green to the south of the pretty village of Cobham in Surrey, just off the A3
Walked down from my wife's old childhood home in Fairhope Lane (no short distance),and stopped here to have a beer. Menu looked good so we stayed for a late lunch in the nearly filled garden. Food was very good, service prompt. We left happy.

I'm a "fairly" regular customer at The Old Plough and visited today for Sunday Lunch. My partner had never experienced the yummy food, tantalising wine list and excellent service before but he was a very happy chap after our lunch experience together as he loved the tender roast beef, the seasonal veg and the sumptuous Yorkshire Pudding. The apple & raspberry crumble was superb but too generous to finish (well for me). Thank you to Anthony and the entire team for such a lovely afternoon... I just wish I lived within walking distance! Highly recommended.

The Flintgate was recommended to us, and, having experience the food, I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. We (wife and I) went for lunch and the food was excellent, as was the service. Great venue, with some lovely nuances (such as the vinyl record player...) contributing to a very welcoming environment. As I say, highly recommended. Weâll be back.

The Plough is a hidden gem in the Surrey country side. Home to a warm welcome, amazing food & friendly service. Come and join George, Ewa and the Team. Dogs welcome!
really great geographical situation; food was good but have we missed the boat on "pub food" in 2019?To anyone reading this review, I've actually been in contact with the reviewer who confirmed that this review was in fact for another Plough in the area (there are about 6 of us, 'Ostentatious' was the first clue that it might not have been us). Unfortunately, Tripadvisor wont remove the review (even though they have had confirmation that it is in fact posted to the wrong location) and the user doesn't know how to delete it. So please ignore it.CheersGeorge
