Loved the old school ambiance, superb pianist, and great service. We had two rounds of cocktails - you get your money's worth on the martinis. Another well-priced item (for NYC) was the raw oysters. The snacks they bring to the table are potato chips, nut mix, and cheese crackers, which are crazy good.

On Amsterdam? Can't decide on a place? Want regular food for regular people with regular servers? It's Fred's for you. Good food. Big outdoor seating area. Generous portions. Great people watching. Friendly service, usually too many dogs but heck, it's all part of the show. We had beer and burgers and they were yummy.

5 Napkin Burger is a premium, full-service burger restaurant with a full craft beer & cocktail bar.
We got a cold greeting from the hostess, a young thin African American woman (I only add the description in case management cares), who put us in the back--even though the front area was mostly empty. The burgers were OK...nothing special. 17.50 for the run-of-the-mill house burger was absurd. It doesn't even come with fries or salad. I guess the rent is high. No other excuse.

Our last night in NYC led us to Red Rooster in Harlem, designed by a well known chef, that lived up to the hype! It was a noisy, crowded spot with a combination of locals and tourists who wanted to taste the latest and greatest. We started with cocktails that we enjoyed as we looked over all the tasty-sounding menu choices. We ordered jerk chicken, branzino and I opted for a burgerâone of the best ever! It had bacon, sautéed onions and a mustard sauce that smothered a perfectly cooked patty in a bun that held all the juicy goodness. The fries were crisp and fried to salty perfection. The branzino was served whole over a bed of beans and veggies and the jerk chicken had a heat that complemented a juicy preparation. We shared a spiced dessert donut w/ice cream to top off a great meal with service that was vigilant without being overbearing. Quite a hot spot with food that matched the vibe!Hello! You had us at hot spot!!! We love that!We are truly flattered that you spent your last evening in NYC at Red Rooster Harlem, and we are thrilled to learn that we did not disappoint! Thank you so much for painting such a beautiful picture of some of our signature dishes. Your descriptive words really made our day! Wishing you safe travels! Please do join us again the next time you are in NYC.All the best,The Red Rooster Team

When in Ft Lee stop by, we ordered the eggplant parm with linguini and it was yummy. It was greasy or over salty. My husband had the spaghetti carbonara with chicken, another great choice. And for dessert don't forget the cannolis, just the right amount of sweet.

Let me start off by saying....Th food was delish, {on the expensive side} the view was fabulous and the friends I Was with were fun and amazing!!! Our server was great!! The evening started out wonderful...UNTIL about 15, nasty, unruly, no manners and crud bunch of ghetto rats at behind us. The yelling, dirty language, pushing our chairs, disturbing oue meal....WAS disgusting. One person came to our table talking sh(*...HOW dare you disturb our meal ..WE went to management 3 YES 3 times and the young kid manager said he would speak to them....NOPE it just got worse as the night went along......MANAGEMENT sucks......WE stayed as it was girls night out, {we went on the deck}.....I WILL be calling corporate Monday morning.....How do you say this is acceptable in a upscale restaurant...NO it is NOT!!! WE wil NOT be going back, there are plenty of places to enjoy a meal !!

The Grange Bar & Eatery is Hamilton Heightsâ farm to table restaurant that serves meals made with fresh, seasonal ingredients in a neighborhood friendly atmosphere.
We went up to Harlem to see Alexander Hamiltonâs house. I knew there were some good place to eat in Harlem but didnât think there were any near we were. I was surprised. We decided on The Grange because it looked pretty cool. Well the food was great as was the service and the place looks really nice inside too. Itâs also pretty convenient if you are going to City College of New York which is also near by. If you are up in that area, check this place out. You wonât be sorry.

Weâve been coming here for years. The music is almost always great. The servers are gracious and attentive. But the food is consistently awful. Tonight we had barbecue ribs that were mediocre. Last time greasy fried chicken and the time before a very low quality steak. The only passable offering has been the hamburger, which for reasons the manager hasnât explained, theyâve discontinued. Go figure!

Since the launch of Jacobs Pickles on the Upper West Side of NY in late 2011, the Pickles team has been committed to sharing their love for food and community. âEverything we do is about bringing good food to good peopleâ, says Jacob. âI couldnât find thi
Went here for lunch; this is a high energy place that emphasizes southern-style dishes (and craft pickles of course). We were seated promptly and the service was quick and smooth. Portions are huge as others have mentioned. I thought the chicken, pickles etc were decent, but not to die for. And the place is really loud....not modern restaurant loud...but âIâm standing next to the speaker at the clubâ loud. You literally have to shout to have a conversation. I guess thatâs the way they like it but really, Iâm just trying to eat and talk here.....Overall its not bad, Iâd go back if invited but the noise level is really excessive IMHO.

I tried the combination platter. The pulled pork was descent, the ribs average and the sausage subpar. The Mac-n-cheese was good as were the salted potatoes. The service was very good, considering the large crowd. Hard to believe a bbq place doesnât offer banana pudding as a desert.
