Came here for Sunday dinner as we have tried most pub dinners within the area. Very friendly atmosphere and I can honestly say, this is the best food around. Proper cooked food and nothing like your Sunday carvery. Will definitely eat here again. I put it top of the Sunday dinners. 10/10 give my compliments to the chef.

We stayed at The Black Horse for one night, and were very impressed. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room we had was large, clean and comfortable, and the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. Service at the meals was exceptional, the young guy (Damien?) was superb. The main building is old so there is a bit of creaking when people move around but it isnât too bad and didnât disturb us. Excellent, we will be staying again.robertoeyThank you for taking the time to write us such a good review. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the dinner and breakfast excellent. We have passed on your kind comments to Damien too! We hope to welcome you back soon.

Birkenshaw has been without the local it deserves for far too long. That's why we decided to do something about it. The golden Fleece is an independently owned pub with no ties to any particular brewery which gives us the freedom to choose any drinks we l

Chapel House is a 16th century building, full of character, with open fires and a 70 seater restaurant to the rear of the pub. In the bar we have two plasma screens showing all SKY Sports & BT Sports. An excellent range of alternating cask ales, a vast se
We came to eat here as our the restaurant in the hotel we were staying in did not open on sunday evenings. We were seated straight away despite the place being very busy. I ordered a glass of Malbec & my husband a diet coke. A young lady came and took our food order. One Lasagne & a steak. . As I said the place was very busy but the staff seemed happy and pleasant .Other meals coming out of the kitchen looked excellent Mussels. roast dinners all looked appetising . Our meals arrived after a short wait my husband said his steak was excellent and cooked to perfection. My Lasagne however was very overdone ( burnt) around the edges . I was very disappointed as what I managed to eat was really nice . That said I am not put off and would return to eat here should I be in the area againThanks for taking the time to let us know how we did. We're glad your husband enjoyed his steak but we're also sorry that you did not feel your meal wad to the same standard. We hope to welcome you again soon so you can enjoy a meal just as much as your husband did. Have a great day!

A choice of 5 local real ales at just £2.80 a pint. Great value and some really nice beers, though I understand they change regularly. Some are brewed on site. Food is also very good, especially the giant Yorkshire puddings. Warm, friendly atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Recommend this place.

Great family lunch. Hand battered Haddock is highly recommended. Shanell is a friendly welcoming waitress who goes the extra mile to offer a great service to all her customers. Ben is a great chef who showcases the food on offer and both are a great asset to this restaurant. Which is why we come back so often.RawsonHouse,Thank you for taking the time to leave us another 5* review from your visit to us. Hello and a very warm welcome to The New Pack Horse at Moorside, Cleckheaton. We're a freehold local pub and restaurant offering a warm welcome and a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're looking for somewhere to enjoy a few drinks with friends or a gr
Firstly can I say that the staff here are friendly and the menu is varied and the main meals we had were very tasty. The problems we encountered however seem to be common in that various meals on the menu were not in stock or available, so we had to look at alternatives. Our two desserts were nice but Luke warm not hot and again desired items were not available, so the pub lost out on starter orders and dessert orders.I was disappointed as we had friends over from America who wanted a traditional English pub meal with certain items that were on the menu but as mentioned not available. We also waited around an hour to get our food served even though we had reserved a table, there needs fo be improvements to tempt us back.
