Visiting a German pub in China was not on my main travel agenda, but after the journey a cold beer sounded good! The music was excellent, I could actually have a conversation with an old friend and enjoyed the traditional warm Apple Pie with ice-cream that was a delight! After the hot and spicy food, the beer was an ideal after drink!

Bar in the Le Meridien Hotel - see separate review.... excellent. Australian Hotel Manager, so televised sports can be arranged if available. The bar normally has a happy hour between 5pm and 7pm where 2 for 1 beers are available.

A few of my colleagues were fretting for some western food and so we headed for the Blue Frog for hamburgers and a beer or two. Waited 15 minutes for the beers - in fact the burgers came out before the beer. it's local draught beer and acceptable for China. The burgers were so-so. Fried onion rings looked like donuts but the meat of good. Overall just an average burger bar for when you really need some western food but I'm sure there's better.

The whole Deyi Shijie Bar Street is full of different bars and clubs. Mostly clubs, but all of them were stupid, poor djed, full of weird ppl, crazy foreigner-friendly girls and crazily-enjoying foreigners...... I couldn't look at them for more.... so fkkking weird!!!! While this little bar downstairs was quiet, cozy, home-like and very western-style, with good service and alcohol. I enjoy world-cup here and meeting some new friends.
