Creative Polynesian inspired hot spot. I highly suggest you make a reservation in advance as this place packs quickly because it is so popular. Sometimes you need to book days in advance. I come several times a year when visiting Chicago and it is worth every penny.

Chicago has no shortage of great restaurants. Pinstripes stands out for me as one of the best. The dining ambiance is relaxing -- comfortable seating and perfectly calibrated lighting. The waitstaff is super friendly and accommodating. There are some incredibly creative menu items that will have you stuck between choices. I had the jambalaya which was outstanding. The restaurant also has seating outside along one of the waterways connected with the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. There is also a bowling alley connected to the restaurant and you'll notice bacci ball pits scattered around.

I come here every time Iâm in Chicago. Itâs not a try hard place, it genuinely wants to maintain the vibe it believes in and has a few house rules that are set in place that make this place special. Cocktails are delicious, and if you donât want one of the many pages of options, they will make you something unique to your tastes and flavour profile. The way the tables and seats are arranged, you really can feel like you and the people at your table are the only people in the cocktail bar. Great place.

A diner-style bar and restaurant with a passion for eggs. Loosely translated, the name Au Cheval means to put an egg on it...and we do.
We were visiting from out of town. Our friends said that we have to try the burgers at this famous burger place in the neighborhood. The burgers are great (fries average) but I have had equally good ones elsewhere. There was a three hour wait but we were staying close and you have 15 minutes to show up. When we we were texted that our table was ready, we were supposed to get the next table. Inexplicably, another group was brought in who were definitely lower on the list. Even if that party was a friend or relative of the manager, it was wrong. We waited another 45 minutes. I suggest that a reservation system would make more sense.

Beacon Tavern is Chicago's newest riverside destination for American fare. Described as "a hidden gemâ by Chicago Tribuneâs Phil Vettel, Beacon Tavern offers dining in a casually-upscale setting steps from the Chicago riverfront and the Magnificent Mile.
Ever.Grilled Vegetable Salad (Vintage Prairie Farms Spinach, farro, manchego, aged balsamic) with Chicken Breast was absolutely delicious. Salad was done partially on a French recipe; and chicken tasted heavenly. The size of the meal was very generous. Crispy toasted warm bread was made to order, and Earl Grey Tea couldn't be more up to the task of warming me up. My genuine thanks to the Chef for such delicious meal.I knew about Beacon Tavern, but it was my first visit to this restaurant. I am delighted to once again thank server Jose, who was utterly professional - totally knowledgeable about the menu, very courteous, attentive, served meal in a timely manner. I thanked him in person, and now I am happy to do it again. The interior looks of this restaurant reflects one of modern decor trends in using subdued, gray-blue colors, dim-lit seating areas, soft background music, - thus, creating a very pleasant, relaxed, and welcoming ambiance. At the end of my lunch, I also had a chance to talk to one of the restaurant managers - Corey couldn't be friendlier and nicer, he is an excellent listener and communicator. This was a very enjoyable - and a very tasty! - lunch at a first-rate restaurant.Merci beaucoup, Beacon Tavern!

This was my second visit in four or five years. l like the place, but something always seems off. Service is quirky. While we were well taken care of over-all, our food was delivered by someone other than our waitress and our waitress didn't reappear until our bill was brought, and then a third person processed our charge card. The mussels are good, well-prepared and well-presented, but I've enjoyed the flavors better elsewehere. The sausage dish was okay, not great. Good beer selection, but I was unhappy with my 'kriek'

My girlfriend and I went here recently for a late dinner. The late night menu was interesting a lot of heavy dishes. Everything was delicious, no complaints but also not the most memorable meal Iâve ever had. Their selection of wine//beer//spirits is incredible. Atmosphere is very intimate, low lighting throughout the entire place.

We were in a time crunch and should have done our research with so many choices in Chicago. Looking to satisfy a vegetarian and she seemed satisfied with the veggie burger. We also ordered the Carnitas Sandwich which was decent however the Matzo Ball Soup was not good.

Would be only 2 stars if not for the excellent service and lovely ambiance. We had four and only 3 thought the food was what it should be. Steak quality was below what you would find at RPM or Kinzie Street. Also I love my sodium but everything from meat to sides was too salty. We had salt on the table, could have adjusted the salt desired ourselves. Had the twice baked potato but it was dry and not fluffy like something was missing.

My whole experience here was fantastic. The cute bartender Josh made it 10x more enjoyable. I came by myself and he made me feel so welcome. If you come here make sure to have him as your bartender.
