Having eaten in this pub before I was happy to take my guests along and booked a table for 6.30 , knowing they didnât want to eat too late. Arriving at 6.20 we ordered our drinks and then our meals. Which unfortunately took a little over half an hour to arrive (basic pub food ) but my vegetarian chilli arrived another full five minutes later . This looked like a dried up lump of warm stodge which I would imagine had been defrosted too late to reach the table with my companions food .Staff standing at a nearby order service were eyeing us and obviously feeling a little uncomfortable, then someone came along along to say our food was on itâs way after one of us had verbally voiced their concern. Having decided we couldnât wait another half an hour for coffee and desserts I asked for the bill . Another twenty minutes later and fed up with staff constantly looking a us we left the table and walked to the bar. And surprise, surprise our bill was sitting there awaiting collection. Complaining about the service , we were told that they were very busy , which they were now at eight oâclock but certainly not when we arrived over an hour and a half earlier. We got a âa very sorryâ as we walked out of the door. Get your act together White Hart , donât leave people waiting when staff are standing around, let your guests know if there is a delay and NEVER NEVER attempt to justify your service when it has obviously been so bad. You are in a business where service is paramount and if you wish to survive you must give it your best. You failed sadly on this occasion so we will not be returning .I am very sorry you didn't enjoy your experience with us. Please email the pub directly so that we can discus this further. The Crown Is A Traditional Village Local, Serving Proper "pub Grub"and A Range Of Wines, spirits ,beers And Soft Drinks. It Is Beautiful Old Beamed Pub With A Bar,lounge And Restaurant.always A Warm A Friendly Greeting From The Manager And Staff.
The pub has been refurbished nicely, with the rooms knocked into 1 large space, which makes way more sense, however, they need to work on some basic elements to improve on the whole...Jacket potato was spot on and priced very reasonably. The sharing platter was poor, I mainly ordered this for chicken wings, but they were replaced with goujons without my consent. Most of the food is NOT homemade. The chips with my burger were undercooked and tasted like cheap frozen oven chips. The side salad repeatedly tasted dirty, which leads me to believe that it is never washed.Chicken and beef burgers were satisfactory, but hardly worth shouting about, or reordering.Kids fish finger meal was poor. The fish fingers were cheap and from a frozen supermarket box, definitely value range as the fish was grey and dry.I feel if they made they own chips, created their own fish fingers and batter, improved the platter with home made versions of each dish, this would help. Also, the music is attrocious. It's like someone put on a 'worst of the 90s' cd. Seriously. Just grab a Motown hits album and this would be an improvement.30 minute wait for basically frozen food.Condiment options could we wider - options like hot sauce and vinegar for example.Staff are friendly, just not really on it.They need a foodie with some passion to be a major influencer of their team, otherwise they will continue to fail.Booze selection fine and the everything is reasonably priced.I'd go back for a casual drink, maybe a jacket potato for lunch, but that's about it.I have responded to this comment and sorry you felt that way as you can clearly see we don't have many complaints regarding us as a family run pub our home made cooked pies and sausage and mash , our Roast Dinners . The burgers are fresh and that's why you would wait about 25mins for them to cook . We must be doing something correctly as you can see from our comments and our business that is growing. Please if you decide to come back please ask for me would be a pleasure to talk to you specially as you have visited 3 times and we have only been open 8 weeks.

A great British Pub serving great British Food. Why not pop in, sit back and relax with a pint of your favorite tipple whilst playing a game of pool, darts or watching all the big football games live on the big screen and 4 HD TV's.
We always visit the gardeners, the staff are always lovely, especially Jamie and Rachel. The food is always amazing and well worth the money. Whether you are with us for lunch or dinner, we provide a friendly, vibrant atmosphere amongst very eclectic surroundings.
We travelled from Snowdonia, North Wales for a celebration lunch with family, we were a table of 20 of all ages from 18 months right up to 80âs. We could not have enjoyed our little grandsons 3rd birthday more. The waitresses were superb - smiling, efficient and above all polite. The food was absolutely delicious. Excellent value for money too. Well worth the round trip of 520 miles and now on our way back to Wales feeling like weâve had a really lovely day - I expect weâll be back again soon as The Lion has become a favourite with the Essex branch of the family!HelloThank you so much for your wonderful comments, having driven so far I'm delighted that you can wholeheartedly say it was worth the journey.Your waitresses, Diana and Steph, having read your review wanted to add some comments of their own: We so enjoyed meeting you all, it was a pleasure to help you all celebrate. We hope the family 'after party' was a great success. Come back and see us again soon.Regards

I used to come here quite a bit and had a couple of mediocre meals and didnât return for a while. My husband and I have this another shot back in May and we were both really impressed! We then returned in August with some family and again had another cracking meal. We then popped in Monday evening for a bite and it did not disappoint. My husband had a pie and mash and I had a shepherds pie. The food was lovely and great service from Hannah. We will be returning, thank you! Hello MrsA_P2901Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. We are sorry to read that you felt your previous visits had been only mediocre. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to give you the dining experience we strive to achieve, we are thrilled to read that your more recent visits have been up to a much better standard. We have passed your kind comments on to Hannah, we look forward to seeing you upon your return. Many Thanks.Team Hare.

I have been a regular customer for the past 3 years. We have been several times with friends and family. Absolutely delicious aromatic original dishes from Kerala served with love. Fazila manages the front of the house while Aji her husband and the chef churns out these authentic dishes youâd never have tasted before. Not your regular curry house stuff. You will be totally blown away. I always look forward to my Live Dosa trips eagerly. Give it a try and you will wonder why have you waited this long.

We are off Railway Street , inside West End Business Car Park behind the Ship Pub inside Samâs Karaoke Bar CM11QS Chelmsford .
Been to Crystal Palace - Samâs Karaoke a few times now. Itâs located conveniently located two minutes away from work.Very friendly staff which makes the start of a great atmosphere. Clean establishment. Good prices. What more can you want? Iâll tell you what more you could want...All of that and then, you only get KARAOKE. Seriously, Iâm 43 now, I work hard and the end of the week or as I like to call it, the weekend and whether itâs with family or friends, itâs always fantastic. Eat great food, drinks and catching up with your people and nothing tops that feeling, oh...Except all of that plus Karaoke. Go and visit, youâll come out laughing, full up and giddy. Also, you can put vocalist on your CV. I did a 45 minute set on Friday. True. Have a great time. Youâre welcome.

Situated in the charming hamlet of Chatham Green, The Windmill is a beautiful, real drinking pub, combining outstanding food with a selection of real ales, cocktails and an extensive wine list. Now in the care of Mick and Lydia Binnington, The Windmill ha
I ate for the first time at the Windmill, I will definitely return! The food is wonderful and the service is brilliant. I'm a vegetarian, there were a couple of options for the starter and one option for the main but boy was it a good option! Cheddar and leek tart with a hazelnut crumble, it was so cheesy and delicious! My family's said, the meat dishes were great too. Dessert was chocolate fondant, again, delicious and beautifully presented! The setting was lovely in the countryside and there was a lovely atmosphere. Everything was brilliant! Make sure you book as it can get very busy. I saw that the was a room for private dining which would probably be a lovely option for a birthday or other celebration.
