Reviews on Bar food in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. The name "Chattanooga" comes from the Creek Indian word for "rock coming to a point." This refers to Lookout Mountain, one of the city's major attractions. Here visitors can explore extraordinary rock formations, see a roaring enclosed waterfall and travel by train to the top of the mountain for truly awesome vistas. Back down on the ground, don't miss the world's largest freshwater aquarium, the Tennessee Aquarium. History enthusiasts will love the city's museums dedicated to Civil War, Native American and 20th-century history. More than anything, Chattanooga is a scenic city, full of natural wonders waiting to be explored by foot, car, bike or train.

Grown up pub is what we think best describes us. We take our food and drink seriously; ourselves not so much. Gastro Pub refined menu focused on high quality proteins and charcuterie, cheeses, vegetables and homemade sides. Craft cocktail bar with wine on
Restaurant was cute, service was great, food looked good but was not very flavorful. My husband had the duck burger and he did not really care for it. I had the pork + pillows and the gnocchi was good but the sweet potatoes were way undercooked and had a crunch and the pulled pork had no real flavor. Drinks were ok but for the price I expected it to taste good. Pretty disappointed.I really wanted to like this place. I love the concept...

Stopped in late driving through. The kitchen stays open until the brewery shuts down, which is rare. The beers on tap are all local to the brewery. Nice selection of lights and darks. The food was wonderful. The stuffed sandwiches were amazing. Itâs like a calzone but way better. The dough for the pizzas and stuffed sandwiches are the same. The pizza sauce is homemade. There are other options as well. Bison burgers and meatloaf. Salads. All very reasonably priced. Kid friendly and outdoor seating available.

I love this place but they got a new cook. Let me tell you what! The food is amazing! Seriously it was like if someone started their DBZ watching with DB GT and then went to DB Super. They would like o snap I was missing out. The potato salad is just like that.

Whenever we travel through Chattanooga on our road trips we like to plan it to stop here for a meal. First, the view of the Tennessee River from the deck is worth the stop alone. Second, they have good food and service. They have happy hour specials from four to six for food (raw oysters half price) and drink (our Roget bubbly was half price...at least the first one was). Tip for travelers from Central time- this side of the river is on Eastern Time so, our second sippie was full price (but still worth it). We were trying to eat light since we had a big drive in front of us so we split a California salad and the grilled wood smoked salmon entree. Both were delicious but the portion on salmon was a little small to share. Next time we will order two California salads and two salmon add nos to the salads. Our server Kalin was very good and we watching the geese flying up the river while we relaxed on the deck. Even though the day was in the nineties the misters made the deck cool enough to enjoy.

We visited several venues looking for a place for drinks and dinner. We were a little disappointed in the local area until we found THe Feed. This is a spacious restaurant/bar that caters well for a wide range of customers. The sports fans are well covered, as are the local diners and drinkers, in addition to the passing tourists (me!).To my delight, the drinks menu was excellent, the food outstanding and the service excellent. Much praise should must go to "Hayley," who managed the bar, advised on drinks and food and did all in a beautifully friendly and efficient manner. Many thanks Hayley from the touring Aussies!A great allrounder. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for taking the time to share such a wonderful review! We love hearing that we exceeded your expectations, especially when it came to the friendly, efficient service from Hayley! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed yourselves and look forward to seeing you again soon!

The bar emphasis is on crafted cocktails and with over 350 different bottles of liquor, it would be difficult to find a cocktail you didnât like. They even know how to make a scotch martini (although they should put a twist in it)! The service was very good. The menu is what I would call nouveau southern with typical southern items (fried green tomatoes) done in a different way. The Stir chopped salad was outstanding (with salami bits) with added salmon cooked perfectly. The chefâs special was sea bass with hoppin john rice and crab cornbread croutons was marred only by the cornbread croutons were baked and then deep fried. Cornbread doesnât hold up well to deep frying and get soggy as they cool. If it werenât for that, I would have given them a solid 5. Nonetheless, I would definitely return!

Good Food. Good Drinks. Good Times.
This place is great because you can please a lot of people at once. They had a few bbq options and I had the brisket sandwich. It was really good and their bbq sauces were great. The environment is fun and energetic. The line was out the door but moved fast and I was seated immediately upon checking in. The parking lot was not free for customers which is weird to me, but evidently typical for Chattanooga. I like the decor and the theme of the restaurant. The couches in the middle were a pretty cool idea. Service was excellent, almost too excellent because I felt a bit rushed. The bar serves popcorn while you wait. I did not have any drinks but they seemed pricey. Itâs cool they also offer a vegan menu.

We are 21+ except for Sunday brunch.
Flying Squirrel is restaurant/bar in the "hip" area of Chattanooga off East Main Street. This was our first visit and were there for dinner on a Saturday night. We arrived around 6:30 and had options outside on the patio or indoors. It was a nice evening, and we picked outdoors on the front patio area. There is a nice side patio as well, but it allows smoking. The menu is robust with many interesting options for dining and from the bar. For dinner, they have share plates as well as traditional entrees. I picked a couple of small plates - the carne asada tacos and pan con tomate and my wife had the hanger steak. We were both pleased with our selections and ended up sharing everything. The tomate was light and tasty. There were three tacos with generous toppings. Together, they were a quite filling. I believe the hanger steak was the best of the three, however. It was cooked to perfection and just enough spiciness. Prices are a bit on the high side, but not completely unreasonable. Service was just fine from the hostess to our server. Parking in the area can be terrible, but there are several pay lots nearby.

1885 Grill is a southern coastal restaurant specializing in fresh seafood, quality steaks and southern sides. We are located in the beautiful St. Elmo neighborhood at the base of the Incline Railway and scenic Lookout Mountain, just minutes from downtown
One of the best places youâll eat! Thereâs no negatives to this place. Great atmosphere, staff is attentive and food is fresh, favorable and makes you want to eat here again. We took a dreadful ride on the incline railroad (donât do it), and when it was over, we were looking for an early dinner since we missed lunch. We walked down the street to 1885. Started of with gumbo, itâs on target with a properly prepared roux, sausage and crab. Just enough spice to be tasty. My husband ordered the fried chicken with gravy and OH MY GOSH! To die for! I got the shrimp etouffee. Word of warning, donât get it spicy. The original has all the spice you want. So while the etouffee is wonderfully flavorful, that fried chicken with that scrumptious gravy is something my husband is still talking about! You better try it, or youâre really missing out! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us! We love hearing that both the Shrimp and Crawfish Etouffee and the Southern Fried Chicken were hits! We appreciate you recommending us and hope to see you again soon!

Good bar, good beer selection. It's a burger joint, with a few other things, but primarily burgers -- different appetizers, some turkey, chicken sandwiches. Tried the fried bologna sandwiches -- could have used more meat, but tasty bunsGreen chili burger was goodFarmhouse salad was very goodWings -- bbq or hot sauce, I prefer traditional buffalo sauce myself, but still, pretty good. Big parking lot (pay) right in back, nice big facility, crowded at lunch time on a Friday, slight wait for indoors, plenty of outdoor seating if you don't mind the heat.
