Dennet's Wharf has always been one of the best parts about Castine boating and dining. A fried haddock sandwich with delicious thin-cut fries and an ice cold beer is one of the joys of the Castine experience. They re-modeled, jacked up prices ($15 hotdog no joke) and removed their fried fish sandwich in place of a Cajun Whaler w/ jalapenos. I ordered it anyway - it was grey/dark meat, smaller than the bun, and tasted like oily fish. Not the bigger than the bun, fresh catch, white fish that is lightly fried and the highlight of the old restaurant. No matter what you do - don't mess with the most popular item on the menu. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK - I BEG YOU. Service was slow as usual, but I wouldn't mind if they hadn't destroyed the menu and turned an outdoor fresh seafood restaurant into a Florida-Georgia Line Creole venue.

Perhaps it is new? Owner/Manager Bernard Higgins. It was a great meal and a wonderful, rustic atmosphere.
Small taproom with a pool table and pinball machines, yes pinball machines. We had the chicken wings and pot stickers for appetizers and they were wonderful. We ordered Rubens and hamburgers which were served with a choice of regular or sweet potato fries. Everything tasted great and was served hot and fresh. It was busy when we arrived so we expected to wait a bit and we were in no rush to leave and enjoyed the atmosphere and company. There were many choices of beer on tap and in bottles. Many were local microbrews. They offer to go and noticed many people ordering take out pizza.Great place to meet friends for food or drink while in Castine.

We had a mini-family reunion dinner at The Manor Inn on Saturday evening. Everything about it was superb. The staff was helpful and efficient. The dining room is handsome, with large windows giving a view down towards the water. Seven of us enjoyed several different main courses, all of which were exceptionally well prepared. My lobster and clam risotto had large amounts of seafood with a perfect balance of shellfish and herb flavors. Others were similarly pleased with their meals. Salads and desserts were very good as well. The dining room is quiet, with the tables spaced fairly far apart. The pace of the service is leisurely without being slow--it allowed plenty of time for conversation. With wine, salads, main courses, and desserts, the bill seemed quite reasonable.
