Just the place to order a coffee and sit out and observe the street life. Didn't eat here but looked OK if you just wanted a lighter meal or a snack rather than a long French lunch

we didn't get as far as eating hereâ¦â¦one of our party asked a staff member if he spoke english, whereupon he turned away in disgust, throwing his hands in the air and saying things under his breath.considering it was the day of the d day celebrations,i felt this was more than a little rude.it took me all of my self restraint to stop myself going after the guy and saying"if it wasn't for the english, pierre, you'd be speaking german".but i didn't.you're in a tourist area,guys-deal with it.if potential customers speaking english is a problem, you're in the wrong job.

On a cloudy Monday afternoon, we enjoyed delicious salads in a luncheon package that included desert and coffee. The quality and preparation of the food was excellent. The house wine choices were fine and tasty. Service was ... French. Dessert took half an hour to deliver even though it was well past the lunch rush hour. But street watching along the Avenue de la Mer is always delightful.

First time there, staff and owner are just fantastic people, easy to chat with. The jungle/savanna atmosphere is perfect! Excellent time! Highly recommended!

We were looking for the impossible, a restaurant for lunch to suit everyone - this one did just that. An excellent choice of sandwiches, salad, burgers, pasta, omelette, croque monsieur as well as larger meals. Also the option to choose salad or frites with the meal, so many of the cheaper restaurants in this area only offer frites. Good size portions, tasty and well presented. Very friendly service and very good prices

We stopped at au48 for an evening meal with the kids. The kids and my wife had pizzas, i had moules marinieres. Allrhe pizzes were fantastic, with thin, crispy hand made bases and loads of toppings. The portion size of mussells was enormous, and they were very tasty, but there was not much sauce. Dont let that distract you from a great eatery.
