Responsible and solidal tourism project managed by the non-governmental organization WHY - a World Home for Youth
Nice restaurant and guesthouse, Tumbo, the manager of the restaurant, was very kind and served us very tasty and fresh food. The restaurant and guesthouse supports development projects on the island, therefore it´s even more pleasant to dine and stay there

Definitely not the best option to eat and sleep when in Jambiani. There are much better places around. Staff is very slow and not always friendly. Quit busy with there own telephones and friends. For example: when you book a taxi you don't get the best and safest driver, but the one who's there friend and give them the best commission. Rooms are very poor, simple and old. In desparate need of a renovation.Beste Dennis en Bart, not the best place, to adress your comments...From 2 adult guys I would have expected that I don't need to tell you that at the moment something is not according your expectations you should contact us directly face to face. The first evening of your stay you had dinner in our restaurant, my brother spoke with you and you told him the food was excellent.. Regarding the staff I surely can imagine you find them slow since you come from the Netherlands where a lot of people live a stressfull life at an extremely high pace which leads to a lot of irritation between people or in the worst case even burnouts. People here take it a little more easy and try to enjoy life to the max. Pity you couldn't let it go..On the other hand I have to disagree on your comment about unfriendly staff. Our staff is highly ranked regarding friendliness and positive guest relation, if you need some feedback about that check our reviews..Regarding the rooms you get what you pay for. Yes our rooms are simple, do we mention differently? Still you have a kingsize bed with matrasses imported from Europe, ceiling fans inside the mosquito nets to keep you cool, hot water from the Grohe shower sets, 10 meter from the beach and a private seaview terrace..Then the cherry on the pie.. Amazing that you dare to speak about the taxi driver. At your checkout you requested a taxi to fumba lodge. The front office manager called the taxi driver to inquire for the price. The driver mentioned his price and then you started to convince him that fumba lodge was at the same distance as the airport. You requested the same price as you paid to come from the airport since you assured him it will not be further. To make a long story short, you made this driver bring you to fumba lodge which was in total 30km more than what you said for the same price to go to the airport, shame on you!We highly appreciate feedback from our guests, but stay with the facts, and be honest.I hope after reading my feedback you will be able to evaluate all you just said and perhaps evaluate your way of communication as this is only degenerative instead of constructive..All in all we understand we can't please 100% of our guests, as long as we hit that 99% as we do we are happy. But try to be fair and don't put your unhappiness on others..All the best and hope you will have some brighter daysThomas

We didn't stay at Blue Oyster but we did visit 4 times for lunch during our 6 day stay at Jambiani. The food is delicious; generous portions, loads of vegetarian options and really friendly staff. The views are beautiful from the beach bar. Prices are the best value along Jambiani beach and you don't have to wait ages for food.

We are a bar, lounge & restaurant located on one of the most unique and beautiful spots in Zanzibar. We are open every day from 08:00 with our kitchen closing at 21:30, and are known for good quality cuisine (international) cooked fresh to order. We take
Upendo offers a wonderful view of The Rock restaurant and some pretty good (above average) dishes. The nice pool is a bonus. As we are fans of curry we both ordered curry based dishes... chicken and seafood. Both were really good. One special thing was the desert - chocolate mousse. It was exceptional, but it had one major problem. It was way to little. Not only it was very good, but you could finish it in 4-5 scoops. Service was ok, while a little bit slow it is something normal in Zanzibar. Enjoy the food and chill!

The party at Jambos Bar on Friday is fun. All though, warning to women, the bathroom was a little hectic. The was a large crab in the squatter toilet and no running in water in the regular bathroom! But the music was fun and it was loads of fun. I recommend going there for a party night.

This restaurant is really the best in Paje. They have African and International food on the menu cart. The foodies are delicious. Sometimes you have be patience when you wait for the food... but that's life in Tanzania. They also have cocktails and beers.

We love food and we are a proper Italian restaurant. From our a la carte menu you can choose a variety of dishes, vegetarian and not, such as fresh from the ocean Seafood, homemade fresh pasta specialties, healthy big salads, italian wood-fired pizza. Wha
Our dish had sand in it! The waiter refused to remake or cancel the dish saying it was spices (maybe they have sand in their spices..). We were charged to the full amount even though we couldn't eat it. We asked to pay in USD and received a high sum for an unreasonable conversion rate. We paid it no questions asked and came to warn you guys - beware - dishonest place.

Mahali Beachbar is situated right on the spot in Paje. While you are enjoying the best views from Paje beach, you can taste our international and local food. We also serve freshly made cocktails, cold beers and more. Karibu!
Big beach bar/restaurant with lots of seating possibilities with the best view on Paje Beach. Menu has a little bit of everything and everything tastes good. Only negative is that the burgers that they proudly advertises is nothing special at all. Best pick is their fish n chips.Service is good, food is served fast and price is fairly cheap.

Hey folks! B4 Beachclub is burger joint located at the infamous Paje Beach. Ridiculous tunes combined with outraged gourmet burgers. We recently opened at our new location - we focus on good burgers and drinks, we offer movie nights on Tuesdays and Sushi
An awesome restaurant literally right off the beach, both food and drinks was excellent, prices was a bit high but for the location it was well worth it! There was a pool on the site that the guests are welcome to take a dip if the beach wasnât what you had in mind! The manager went out of his ways to help us when we asked for help....totally would come back again!
