On the road and wanted a good quick lunch which didn't happen. This place was way under staffed and the wait staff could not keep up. Our waitress kept getting things mixed up or just totally forgot to put in part of the order either way the service left a lot to be desired. Food tasted good but some of it was cold or was brought out late. Poor example of what you would expect from BWW.

Okay place to stop for a cold beverage. One bar with stools, a pool table, a few slots and as our guide put it "colorful" bathroom wallpaper. The women's restroom was covered in magazine pictures of almost naked men...interesting enough but the smell was horrible. Bartender was courteous and beer was cold. Music was good!

The centerpiece of Fred's Mesquite Grill is....wait for it...a large mesquite grill. This might seem obvious, but it's not just any mesquite grill. This is a big, open faced charcoal grill, continually fed with pieces of mesquite, continually moved to keep an even heat. Now, there are a lot of amateur grillmasters out there, but these guys are pros. Watching them work the grill, knowing the hot and cold spots intimately, and ultimately turning out a lightly charred, perfectly cooked steak or chicken breast is like watching a Venetian glassblower or a master wood carver at work.Fred's is an old school restaurant with old school portions. They offer a wide variety of side options, but I'd recommend going with their pasta/ravioli w/ marinara- certainly the best marinara in town. Add to that a respectable selection of craft beers on tap and a choice of huge, homemade desserts, and all my bells and whistles are rung and blown. Butte has some great casual restaurants, and Fred's is without a doubt one of the best.

The M&M Bar and Cafe is an inexpensive to moderately priced diner with an authentic saloon atmosphere. The historic Butte establishment is known for running 24x7 for over a century before the local economy finally took its effect. It's still widely famous
Very fun environment for St. Patrickâs Day! The great drinks, yummy food, and friendly staff brought us there twice in one day, had breakfast and dinner there! Highly recommend!

If this is Montanaâs best steak house, Montana is in real trouble. Here while traveling thru one night at the adjoining hotel. Arrived during happy hour, however, since we donât drink margaritas, beer or âwell drinksâ and wine isnât on happy hr, that didnât help. We were greeted and seated quickly and our very kind waiter, Sebastian was there shortly. Ordered a California petit Syrah at a reasonable price and it arrived promptly. I hankered a steak salad and chose the chop house Cesar while hubby had Fulton St. ribs. He was supposed to get soup or salad with his meal, which never came until I mentioned it when the entrees were delivered. The soup arrived, lukewarm, after many apologies. My steak salad, fortunately for me was an excellent cut of sirloin, very tender, and was edible even though it came medium-well to well done, rather than medium rare, which I specifically ordered. Disappointing, but I was not in the mood to wait for another. Sebastian spoke to the manager and my compâed my entree, which I appreciated. Hubbyâs ribs, for being slow cooked, were very fatty. He didnât feel so good after. They were tender & sauce was good on a positive note.I had joined their rewards program, thinking we might visit another location. Wait staff had no clue how points are awarded and the manager had to figure it out. One would think that to be part of staff orientation. Sebastian was very apologetic and very sweet; he made the experience worthwhile. Undecided if weâll visit another location ever, but maybe this was just bad luck.

The Montana Club Restaurant has something for everyone. Huge breakfasts, steakhouse steaks, seafood, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, salads and more. While you're here sip on a seasonal microbrew, wine or a perfectly-mixed cocktail and relax in our Montana Cl
The staff at my hotel suggested the Montana Club which was only a few blocks away. The menu has many choices and appears to accommodate allergies. I had a spinach dip to start followed by a steak oscar. The dip was tasty and plentiful. I found an excellent wine list with many favourite california Chardonnays so picked on and was set. My steak was properly prepared and delicious. My server, Jay, was very helpful. In most cities most restaurants are fast food franchises so it was a pleasant surprise to have actually good food and find a place like the Montana Club. Next time through Butte I would come again.

Five of us each had a variety of food and the waiter did very well in handling everything from asking for other items during the dinner to telling us about Butte. He also explained about the sports memorobelia.

We were just driving around town looking for a lunch spot and saw they were open. We were very happy with the very crispy onion straws and great pulled pork sandwich. The mac n cheese side was good. Everything is homemade.Great service and outdoor dining was a big plus.
