Visiting just for day with a friend and wanted lunch away from main tourist street and cruise shippers. Just wanted something straightforward and El Bohi still very central just 50 yards or so up from entrance to market. The usual boccadillos (sandwiches) a range of tapas, meals of the day and some Cuban food. A cafe more than a restaurant, it was hot day and we ate out side on pavement. I had a Cuban dish rice and black beans, with a spicy meat stew (described as a loaf) and a cooked bannana and fried egg..it was really very good and generous portion. My friend had grilled sardines with french fries and a beer..he thought it was very good too.Very reasonably priced mine was 6.50 euro. If I was in town again and wanted lunch Id go back
Stopped for a beer whilst shopping and was very glad we chose the bar.We were greeted by a lovely lady who after serving us two very cold, very welcomed large beers sorted out the internet connection for us..Guess what.....we stayed for another.

Located in the historic center of the city, Sputnik is one of the most emblematic coffe chop in the city. It has a large terrace and offers a wide variety of local products such as beer, gin, ron and wine made on the island. It also offers good breakfasts
Seafront position and offers inexpensive cafe food and drinks. Great for sitting out and having breakfast and also stays open late for drinks. Great staff. Thank you very much for your comment. We hope to see you again here. Greetings from La Palma

Lugar situado en el muelle de Santa Cruz. Los churros están demasiado grasientos y el chocolate demasiado lÃquido. No me gustó nada

I loved this place so much that i went there every day. It is a great Tapas Bar to socialise, especially as a solo traveller. The food is tasty & the wine good, everything reasonably priced. The staff are friendly & the atmosphere brilliant. Tasca Alvasca is the best place in Los Cancajos!

La Isla de Goya, tapas - bar where you can enjoy different dishes to share, from tostadas, salads, portions ... and of course different tapas. New suggestions every week!!!
Stumbled across this place during the Carneval (which basically involves talcum powder being thrown over everybody within range) after finding no space in nearby places. The aubergine with honey sounded interesting and was an excellent choice, even though I thought a mistake had been made when it arrived, as it looked like lots of small fish, battered (and I don't eat fish). It was delicious and decidedly different...and I hadn't read the reviews recommending it in advance, so it was a fine choice.Reasonable prices and good service, and right across the road from the beach, should you fancy a swim afterwards
