So went tonight with the family for a meal, the menâs toilets had urine on the floor, no soap in the soap dispenser.Ladies toilet had a seat on the floor as it was clearly broken.Main meals were average, chocolate brownie pudding came for pudding and was cold as well as flattened by the scoop of ice cream.Had white wine with lemonade, couldnât taste the fizz from the lemonade it was like having just flat wine! Will not be returning here for dinner again.

The Stirrups Restaurant is the perfect place to dine and unwind with friends. Head Chef Barry Liversidge and his young imaginative brigade have created menus featuring modern and traditional cuisine. Once coupled with a carefully chosen wine list one disc
5 adults had Sunday Lunch. Starters were good. Beef was delicious. Our preference would have been to have it a little rarer but that did not detract from our enjoyment of it. Husband would have preferred his chicken off the bone and he only thought the meal was average. Someone who had shared their meat with another (half each) said the beef was much nicer than the lamb. Potatoes were not crispy but that is usually the case when you eat out. One of us was dairy free and the veg were served on our dinner plates - the cauliflower had cheese sauce on it. There was no problem with them plating up a new meal without the cauli. We all would have liked more vegetables! Of the 2 who had a dessert, the cheesecake was nice but more like a chocolate torte and the sticky toffee pudding was dry with not enough toffee sauce. I would have told the restaurant but my son did not want to make a fuss! All in all, an acceptable meal with some faults and the beef being the highlight.

I booked The Cow Shed (private dining room at The Bull) for 12 friends for my birthday meal and I was so impressed with the whole experience! Taylor was so helpful and accommodating when he took my booking for the evening. He sorted all our pre orders and amendments ahead of the evening and was a very kind and happy person to deal with. The private dining area we had for the evening was so lovely - comfy seats, great music and mood lighting. All our food was delicious and delivered correctly to each person who had pre ordered. Impressive! During the evening we were looked after by the lovely Olivia who was so attentive! She was a wonderful host and made my evening feel very special. Thank you so much to all the team at The Bull who helped create such an awesome night. Every team member we met was polite, friendly and really helpful. We will most certainly be back for more special occasions. This is a birthday to remember!Hi Lizzie, Thank you so much for this lovely review! It was an absolute pleasure to host your birthday meal and I'm so glad you all enjoyed it! We look forward to welcoming you back again very soon for another great evening! Best wishes, Taylor

Used to eat here a few years ago and it was really good, but visited recently and was disappointed to see how far it has sunk. Service was very good (though would expect this to be the case being that they now automatically add a 10% service charge to your bill...)Sadly the same cannot be said for the food, which took an age to come, and transpired to be greasy and lacking in flavour. To rub salt in the wound, the restaurant staff saw fit to allow a troop of knuckle-dragging beer louts into the dining area, so what was intended as a quiet meal deteriorated quickly into a miasma of vulgarity. Unlikely to return.Thank you for the feedback. We are really disappointed to hear of the experience you had on your visit. We have just introduced a new autumn menu which we are really confident youâll love so please give us another chance. We take on your points regarding sitting drinking groups in the restaurant. This should not have happened and understand how this can very easily spoil a nice quiet evening out. Apologies. We hope you reconsider and come back soon.

Visited today with friends, my fiancée and my brother. Lovely that the whole place is completely dog friendly and we had our cocker spaniel puppy and our friends had their westie puppy with them. Food is well priced and very good quality. Our waitress, Devin, was really helpful and pleasant and provided a brilliant service.Very impressed with this place. When we are visiting our friends in the area we will be sure to return with our dogs in tow! Hey! Thank you for your kind review, we are so glad to hear you had such a nice time with your family and the puppies, your group was lovely and we will happily see you again soon! We will pass on your praise to Deven as I am sure she will appreciate it!Gareth and the team

All the staff were brilliant, attentive and helpful. Great decor and American bbq feel. 5 of us ate with drinks and desserts for just over £80. Absolute bargain for the meal sizes! The smoke platters are great value. Meatballs are divine. Youngest wasnât a fan of the mac cheese but we all shared. Already planning what to order on our next visit.

Our traditional 16th century English country pub is set in some of Berkshire's finest countryside, and was originally a set of cottages belonging to local woodmen. With flagstone floors and open fires, it's a charming, historic setting for lunch, dinner a
We have not been to the pub for a drink or meal in the restaurant for quite a long time. We were impressed with the friendly service and general ambiance of the restaurant area. The food was very good two of us having the nights special tomahawk pork chop and one the pigeon. Everyone enjoyed their food very much, and even though the pigeon was a little difficult to eat after the plates had been cleared away the waitress came back to the table and said that meal would be taken off our bill. This was excellent service and handled extremely well by both kitchen and front of house staff. We shall all definitely be returning in the future.

Built around 1480, The Thatched Tavern was originally a farmhouse with a croft (a small farm). There was also a Blacksmiths forge at the back of the building where the kitchen hatch is now, and a wood store at the end of the bar.During the reign of Queen
