Arrived early for a birthday party on Bowen Island, so wandered up the hill from the ferry terminal and found Doc Morganâs. Very happy to find a good selection of beer on tap from some of my favourite Vancouver-area craft breweries. We paired a couple of thirst-quenching Flagship IPAâs with a generous plate of warm spinach dip and tortilla chips. Perfect. Too bad we were heading for a party, the plates of food being delivered to the patrons around us looked equally generous and tasty. Next visit to Bowen Island will include a longer stop at Doc Morganâs for sure!

A group of us went to the island for hiking - we reserved a table and we were offered their group menu which was substantial with plenty of choices. Our server was very efficient and friendly. I had the fish and chips - the fish was rather greasy and the chips below average.

This place is so wonderful, bright, spacious, clean, well-kept and has such magnificent servers that I am actually sad that I have to complain about a chicken taco salad that was a massive disappointment.Right from the bag bitter greens (bitter greens in a Mexican salad... say what?) with a ridiculously overcooked dry small chunk of chicken, and raw yellow pepper dices with two, count them, two tortilla chips. This is supposed to be a $15 chicken taco salad? I'm going to stop now as I really don't want to insult the "chef" any longer.

I went for pizza and all I got was a crust (overcooked). They aren't the only place to compete for how little they can put on the crust but they certainly are masters at it. There was barely enough ingredients to give the crust any flavor. On the positive side I like the crust they use, too bad they over cooked it. But I guess its a challenge for the cook when they are cooking a crust with nothing of substance on top.My apologies, Iâm not sure which pizza you had or slice by the sounds of it but something has gone wrong! We load our pizzas up with all of the freshest ingredients possible. Hope you give us a try again so we can show you thanks!
