Reviews on Bar food in Bordighera, Liguria, Italy. Known as the City of Palms, scenic seaside Bordighera is the proud supplier of fronds to the Vatican every Palm Sunday. Just a few miles from the borders of both Monaco and France, floral Bordighera has been a favorite resort destination for British visitors since the 19th century, when Queen Victoria herself was a guest. The town has many lovely gardens (like Pallanca and Winter), an archaeological museum (the Bicknell) and a lovely old town, but most come for the beach and seafront promenade.

We visited for an aperitivo. Service was a bit distracted. We werenât really made to feel welcome even though the bar was quite empty. This was of course in February and it was COLD. It must be a very different place in the summer. Loud music was put on and we had to raise our voices to be heard - other customers too. This must have been obvious to the staff. We drank up and left. Shame - as we thought this bar looked good fun. Maybe itâs for younger people? We were surprised that the music could be heard right the way up Corso Italia which seemed unfair on neighbours and other owners of premises as well as those just wanting a quiet stroll. Bit selfish in my opinion and although we are staying in Bordighera for over 3 weeks we havenât been back.

We wandered past this place after we'd finished shopping and were on our way back out town. As we were hungry, we decided to pause for a quick bite. It was a quick and tasty pub meal, accompanied by an unusually good selection of rum. We.were on our way again fairly quickly, but we has tarried long enough to absorb a food atmosphere, welcoming staff and a decent menu.
Where to eat Ligurian food in Bordighera: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Upon arrival it is like stepping into a dream...the round globe lights glowing in the night leading up to the restaurant which is set in a park...being the only restaurant in the park lends to its feeling of exclusivity. There are several seating areas outside that blend naturally with the park setting. There is also a small mod lounge section inside as well as a bar. For a panorama view of the area head to the upstairs deck where there is a lounge area with an upper level for dining at the top! That is my favorite spot in the restaurant at the top directly above the bar, from there I can watch everything! I have eaten several times at this restaurant and everything has been just wonderful, from the pesto dishes to the rostelle and onto dessert ! I know this may sound crazy, but I really loved the grilled veggies! The rest of my vacation in Italy and beyond I tried to recapture that flavor to no avail ! A few of the nights there was live entertainment...a nice mix of music, including many American tunes! I've heard good things about the pan fritto, want to try that next ...maybe an aperitivo with pan fritto on the rooftop watching the sunset... all in all I've had some very enchanting evenings at U Cavetu.
We actually had dinner at the lovely restaurant next door but Bar Creuzaâs LOUD, OBNOXIOUS, INAPPROPRIATELY timed âDJâ music made dinner conversation and quality family time impossible. Even when asked to turn it down a notch - I swear they turned it UP. And with NO PEOPLE at the bar dancing. Oh, it was 8pm. Not 11pm. Unacceptable. We are very sorry to hear that the music has disturbed your meal experience. However we wish to assure you that the restaurant had been advised earlier of the event and that the music volume was lowered as soon as requested during the evening. Nevertheless apologies and kind regards, Bar Creuza De Ma owner
