Every time I go it just gets worse. This time was the last. They didnât have cold water, no pork chops, no mero fish, canât recall the last item they didnât have that was was listed on the menu. Itâs like why donât you present what you do have when I first sit as opposed to having me order appetizers and then you donât have anything I ordered. I asked for the manager and even he himself was rude. I asked for a discount being that they did not have anything that I wanted and he simply said no and walked away. The waiter, Cesar was just as pleasant as the so called manager. Plus all the people selling and begging really wanna make you lose your desire to eat. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE, this food is not even all that even if they did have everything I asked for. Go to Adrian tropical, better food, service , people. AND FULL MENU ALWAYS!

The place was recommended. Looks nice , staff friendly. The beach is too shallow for snorkeling and full of those jellyfish that attach to the bottom and only move when necessary. Indicates bad water quality. No fish to see. Good for wading and no sea urchins, but lots of detached tentacle parts from above mentioned jelly fish. Kids emerged full of stings. Not super bad, but needed a full shower with soap to stop crying.Food was OK but arrived 3 hours after ordering.

The Village on the Beach is a Charming beachfront Bed & Breakfast on the sandy beach of, Boca Chica, Dominican Republic.
I lunched at Village On The Beach three times during my December trip. The first time, unfortunately, I was scheduled to dive 1 hour after we arrived; I ordered the special of the day, in hopes it would arrive quickly, but it took nearly 40 minutes to get my entree. It also took the waitress a long time to bring the check - and I got short-changed by the cashier; fortunately Thaylor, the owner, was right there, and he got it sorted out.The following day I had plenty of time, so I ate there and enjoyed my meal very much. And the last day, I had a whole grilled fish 'a la plancha,' and it was excellent.I WILL go back next time I dive in Boca Chica. Worth the wait!Thank you for taking the time to write the review, since you last visit we made some changes to make service faster. (New POS System, New Chefs, new menu) Just know the food will take time to cook as we make everything from scratch. We will keep trying to do better. God bless, Thaylor
