On a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Bluffton, we decided to give Agave Side Bar a try as margaritas sounded good! Although they were only moderately busy, the service was much slower than expected even on Bluffton time. And our server had to be caught and detained to get questions asked about the menu. At least the margaritas were good (not great) and helped time pass until our order was finally taken. The food did arrive quickly and was very good. My lovely bride had the bean burrito and I chose the loaded nachos with pulled pork which was generous enough for two. My spicy shrimp taco was very good and we both loved the excellent salsa. It is a good venue for people watching and just enjoying beautiful âdowntownâ Bluffton but (always a but), the music was awful!! You would expect a place that had bright, Caribbean colors everywhere, serves conch fritters and Mexican food to have music in keeping with their decor and food type. Instead, it was the current annoying top 40 (if there is still such a thing) that was more distracting than entertaining. Close call but tightening up the service and changing the music could result in a much more pleasant experience and better ratings.

Captain Woody's is a fun and casual seafood restaurant with plenty of options for land lovers. We serve the entire menu for lunch and dinner so there is something for everybody's price point.
People love coming here. Even with a 20-30 minute wait whether itâs lunch or dinner. Good local seafood is offered, along with typical burgers & sandwiches at fair prices. Parking can be challenging. And inside it gets very loud - Iâm sure itâs because everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. Basically, if you can find parking, donât mind waiting and arenât looking for something unique, this is a good place to pick. Thank you for the kind review. We look forward to having you with us again in the future!

On recent trip we drove east through SC, wanted a lunch stop and this place filled the bill nicely. Sat outside, it was warm but pleasant and we shared a featured Panini. It was a Cuban with southern twist of bbq pulled pork. Came with order of good, well done (as requested) fries. A few beverages, some ok service along with chitchat and we were on our way. Thanks Okatie!

This is a family friendly place in the quaint town of Old Bluffton. I was pleasantly surprised by how yummy my Thai shrimp patty was. Chunks of perfectly cooked shrimp and great flavor. Blue cheese burgers were also very good. We selected a couple of great local beers too. We were a bit full for dessert but walked around town and came back for their ice cream. It was amazing. Unique flavor options and they got the standard flavors right too. Service was efficient and friendly. We were there at an off time - mid afternoon. Thank you very much for all of your kind words and this amazing review about your recent visit to Fat Patties in Bluffton! We're thrilled you loved your Thai Shrimp pattie, enjoyed selections from our offering of local beers, and decided to come back for dessert! We truly appreciate your recommendation and it would be our pleasure to welcome you back again!

When we're hungry for barbecue...Jim 'n Nick's is the local go-to place. Rarely is there a long line waiting to be seated. They turn over tables quickly. The service is good and the barbecue is the only chain restaurant to receive accolades in Southern Living magazine. One of the best.

And we have been here in the past, we have had a great time, whether we are seated at the bar or at a table. Service was always good even when it is overflowing and crowded. We stopped here several weeks ago, there was not a lot of people there. We waited at the hostess station to be seated, nobody showed up, so we decided to stay in the bar area and just sit at a hightop. As soon as we sat down, then the hostess shows up and tells us that we need to be seated by a hostess, so we asked her do we need to move and she said no but you need to go through the hostess. Well letâs try to find a hostess next time. We asked if there was table service, she said yes. Thatâs not happening either. After waiting what seemed like 10 minutes, I got up and went to the bar and ordered several drinks to bring back to our hightop table. Now remember, we are here in July. The air conditioning was not working good and it was relatively warm in the bar area. The door was not opening and closing they were very few people coming in or leaving. All throughout the time that we had our drink, still no server showed up to the table. As it was too warm to stay here, we finished our drink and left after paying. Very disappointing.

Usually good food & service but not today. No one available to seat me so I seated myself & waited 10 minutes before I had to flag down a waitress. Since the bar & high top tables were occupied, I sat down at the first table nearby. Even though it was all one room, I had forfeited my rights to happy hour prices from the bar. I was on the wrong side of a small partition. I ordered the $9.99 fish n chips special which was advertised in bold letters. I was politely informed that that price was only available for lunch. I had neglected to notice the fine print in the upper right hand corner, so I paid $13.99. Overall it was not a pleasant dining experience.

Delicious food and great service! Thank you Megan for suggesting the kale and quinoa bowl. I thoroughly enjoyed it with the spicy shrimp. My husband loved his pimento cheese burger and it was cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere and I think itâs wonderful you can play ping pong while youâre there too. We will be back again for sure!

Local Pie is the 1st and only true Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizza in Bluffton. âLocalâ means that only the highest quality, regionally-sourced ingredients.
I really wanted to love the pizza. The crust was burnt. We asked the waitress and she offered to have them recook but also said it was because of wood burning stove. I have had many pizzas from wood burning stoves but not burnt. The toppings were very bland. Our waitress was very nice but obviously they were understaffed on a Saturday night. We enjoyed sitting outside in Old Town Bluffton.
