Chef & Somm provides fine cuisine and excellent service - sit at the live edge bar or grab a table for delicious regional dishes prepared by Chef Sara Hord - ramps, soft-shell crabs, locally foraged morels - and pair it with one of the excellent wines cur
Delicious food primarily locally sourced served in an upscale, beautiful and intimate setting, Gary provided exceptional wine guidance for the ecclectic selections, and we found the pricing to be very good. Chef Sara personally came out to greet us. Food prices were about what we expected given the quality of ingredients, and portions for appetizers were large enough for sharing, Service was some of the best in the High Country. We had a party of six and everyone LOVED it. We will definitely go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at The Ridgeline. Spectacular views, great food and delicious drinks. We had lunch at 1:30 PM on a Saturday and it wasn't overly crowded. This restaurant has a great history as well! Be sure to stop in for a leisurely meal next time you are in town.

Pleasantly surprised by the good quality seafood they had. They had a good menu. Mix of straight up seafood like oysters, crab cakes, shrimp, crab legs plus a cajun twist with some creole dishes. Started with fresh shucked oysters, alligator bites and fried pickles. All three were good. I got the blackened catfish over cheddar grits topped with crawfish etouffee. Was good and nice change of pace. Table had crab cakes, shrimp and grits and enjoyed them Crab cakes were not lump like you get in Inner Harbor in Baltimore, but were full of crab meat and tasted good. Shrimp & Grits were delicious as well. Service was friendly and did a good job. Family friendly. They allow pets on the ground level patio. Had passed up this place a couple times just thinking it may not tbe that good, but was wrong. Glad we tried it and will eat here again.

We were there on a Friday night so it was busy but we were promptly seated. The offering are standard pub fair of average quality, except their french fries are excellent. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Good selection of beers and cider.

The establishment has a nice atmosphere but the bar is very small. It only seats 6 people and it closes at 10:00 on the weekends and 8:00 on weekdays. I wish it were open longer.

We made reservations on line which didnât go through. They seated us immediately with no problem. Our waitress was very good and kept my husbandâs tea glass field at all times which is very important to him. We had the meatloaf and shrimp Gumbo soup. Both were delicious. The collard greens that came with the meatloaf was on the top side. Next time I would probably asked to substitute for a different vegetable.

Mellow Mushroom is THE destination for Blowing Rock's best pizza, hoagies, salads and more! We also boast the High Country's largest selection of quality craft and microbrews. We offer pet-friendly outside dining, and a family friendly kids menu. Keep on
Food was great but if you are adults without children, be prepared for lots of crying, screeching, etc. or go after 9:00 pm. A long wait (hour to 1.5 on Friday night)...suggest ordering from your lodging and picking up. Worth the wait! We ordered meatballs app, salads, and pizza...all terrific!

Recommended and owned by the owners of the lovely Gideon Ridge Inn in Blowing Rock, this could not be farther from what we expected when we went for dinner. We were thinking rustic, casual. Parking was almost impossible to start with. Noisy, crowded. A busy bar and a restaurant large and equally busy. But we got a table and our server was delightful. We got our bottle of wine and first course. Very good, but then we asked for extra bread for our mussels and it took half an hour. Our main course seemed as though it would never arrive, so we did something we have never done before. We got up and decided to leave. The surly manager gave us a bill that was discounted, but did not take off our main courses, only 50% off. We disputed that and won. They gave some kind of excuse, but later, at Gideon Ridge where we were staying, we heard that this experience was not uncommon. A shame and shame on the Gideon Ridge owners! Hope they can change this, because the food and bar (probably attracting mostly locals) was good.

We were staying in a hotel on the same road so wanted somewhere close by to eat and chose Foggy Rock based on TA reviews and weren't disappointed! The service and food were excellent - so good in fact that we ate here both nights we were in town and neither meal disappointed! Just gutted we didn't get chance to try the sister breakfast restaurant too! Can recommend the California Chicken and the Earth bowl - both delicious and big portions (with the option to take leftovers away which is always great).
