I was here recently at a Rod Stewart tribute night. To tell the truth I was not expecting it to be as good as it was. Very well organised, taken to tables, food service was prompt and efficient and hot enjoyable food. Was pleasantly surprised as often Christmas nights the food is not up to much, but this was very nice indeed. Also the bedrooms were of a high standard, better than a few 4 stars hotels we have stayed in. Quality carpets and curtains. Bathroom fabulous. Would have no hesitation recommending this hotel and wish luck to the new proprietors.

We had no reservation, busy around 5pm on a Saturday. Weâre allocated a table and informed it was needed back in 2 hours. Fair enough. Menu has plenty of choices and okay price wise too. Felt the table was very close to the others either side no personal chat! Food was fresh, warm and plentiful one had prawns other had Thai chicken. This was a little bland and the cracker like thing was rock hard so was left. One dessert to share. Staff friendly and a good atmosphere...

Pleasant atmosphere, but only average food and service. Pub grub, not fine dining. Reasonable wine list, but pricey. Sirloin steak looked more like rump and vegetables were barely cooked.

Food has improved vastly, good quality, excellent portions. Attentive and helpful staff. Only down sides, it used to be one of the best pints of Bellhaven around, but seems it may no longer be available. Also the new owner sitting watching everyone makes you feel uneasy, not physically working, just watching, Iâd customers feel like this, god knows how staff must feel with eyes on them whole time. Would be good to see owner leading from front and to get the Bellhaven back in and this could be a great wee village pub .

The reception at the Stonefield is always lovely and it's somewhere we always like to visit. I understand it is going through changes at the moment and have contacted management (via tripadvisor) about my (minor) complaint as I was not able to find other contact details online - it's great for kids with indoor and outdoor spaces for them and the staff are very attentive.

My husband and I had Sunday lunch here today and we're both impressed with what we had.Starters of tempura prawns & mixed pakora were light and tasty.Both had carvery option and choose rare roast beef and turkey,sides of roast potatoes light and fluffy,cabbage tasty,cauliflower cheese quite bland ( but I like very strong cheddar)giant sized Yorkshire pudding which I could not finish.Great venue,very good service and worth a visit.

Some friends and I had dinner together here recently. Perfect meeting point for us at this cosy bar. We had a range of dishes between us such as Chicken Enchilada, Chicken Supreme (their version) and Nachos as a main. Soooo good, each dish was super tasty! Friendly service and great prices, we will be back again.

Had a lovely evening meal, spicy chicken and the steak pie for me. The chicken was very good but the steak pie was excellent, nice bit of steak. The dessert menu is very good, a great variety and all very well priced. Overall a great dinner, very well priced and topped off with excellent staff who were efficient and very pleasant. Thank you.

We've been a few times now staff are great very welcoming and efficient, we can't fault the food it's delicious and well presented, prices are reasonable and good value for money, if you have a wheelchair guest best to book in advance as there's no ramp or access to upper restaurant, apart from that absolutely no problems.
