Just passing through time while road tripping in New Brunswick our hotel recommended Joeyâs. So glad we gave Joeyâs Pub & Eatery a try. Excellent from the minute we stepped through the door. Greeted quickly, seated immediately and our excellent server Cheryl was promptly at table to take our order. After we settled on the beer and wine selection with Cherylâs recommendation , it was on to the food choices. Cheryl recommended the shrimp and scallops and the salmon stuffed with lobster as we enjoy seafood. She brought some extra sauce for hubbyâs rice. Cheryl was super engaging and fun! We felt like her long standing customers even though we just met. She brought a few samples of a couple of beers for hubby when ordering his 2nd serving of beer, explaining why he might like them....and he did! Excellent attention throughout the evening. When I ordered a black coffee, Cheryl said I will brew some fresh since you drink it black! Smart and thoughtful Cheryl! The food was so delicious and well prepared, including the sauteed veggies that came with our meals. Hubby tried the sugar pie, which was new to us, and it was outstanding!Thank you to the kitchen staff at Joeyâs and Cheryl for a great evening. We leave with a fond memory of our short stay in Bathurst.It was really nice meeting you guys last night and so happy you came to visit us all the way from Alabama! As I said last night we know Cheryl is amazing and she is a very important part of the team. But it is customers like you that make all our jobs a lot easier! Thank you so much for the feedback in person it was very nice to hear and you made all our nights even the kitchen staff who were told that the clients from Alabama were impressed :) Cheryl suggested the best seafood plates that Joey's offers so I am not surprised you loved it and who would have thought veggies could tastes so good eh?!?Glad you now are hook on sugar pie as it is a local fav. Hope you were able to find your lobster roll on your journey north and next time you travel up this way maybe you will be able to spend a few more days in our beautiful city. I am writing to you to express my dismay with your restaurant.i convinced 5 of my friends and relatives to eat dinner at your restaurant last evening...big mistakeWe waited 1 hour15 minutes for your main course which was a big disappointment!. I ordered two appetizers ,,muscles, AronchiisMy muscles were cold,as well as the aronchinis .i sent the muscles back and they came back very overlooked and shrivelled up(might have been microwaved) couldnât eat them as well as the aronchinis. My sisters fish (fish and chips)was undercooked and slimy inside.my girlfriends tagliatelle with sausage were cold as well so she only ate a couple of mouthfuls. We took the rest home and I heated it up today. On a positive note,I left hthe waitress was very efficient! Friendly and apologetic.i left her a very generous tip.

We popped in here whilst looking for somewhere to eat this evening. Weâre not locals, being from the UK and weâre passing through on our way elsewhere, but when we walked in it was like a scene from âAn American Werewolf In Londonâ...... everything went quiet for a few seconds. Outsiders! Normal service quickly resumed, and we enjoyed a great local beer, all 26 f. oz of it so I was very happy, plus a glass of wine. Drank these sitting at the open window watching the world go by, not that much of it did. Very relaxing until the pub quiz started, at which point we called it a night and moved on to eat!

My wife and I have been here before and there weren't any complaints on service or food..But today was a complete shock.. When we first arrived we waited for service for about 10-15 minutes (not bad considering there were 2 other tables with people who were either finishing their meal or in the middle of receiving.).. When the server did come with the menus she asked if we would like water. We both said yes and she off and left.. 20 minutes goes by and still no water..Then a Manager appeared and asked if anyone had taken our ordered yet..No order taken and no water. She said she would take care of it personally..to which she sent the same girl as previous, who took our order, dropped off water and disappeared.. I know it takes time to cook but another 30 minutes goes by and so far all we had was water. Finally it did arrive and we ate it faster than the service that was provided. Hopefully that was just an off day !!! Not impressed at all !!!
