We were walking in the town square after dinner on the hunt for gelato when we were intrigued by the pretty changelier in the window. Although it's a bit pricier than the other gelato place in town, it's a popular gelato spot for both locals and tourists so long line but staff is pretty efficient at getting those scoops of gelato out. Definitely go for the more creamy gelato- so delicious!

I went to try this place as it gets rave reviews. It appeared to be a coffee bar with some tables on a petrol station forecourt. Do I have the right place? I fail to see where the music connection comes from?

The staff was pleasant, friendly and gave understanding advice and history about the area without being intrusive on our meal. Our meal was simple local fare - mozzarella, tomatoe, fresh bread, olives, goat cheese, prociutto and other sample antipasti. The service was exceptional because all was explained when requested as well as helpfulness in wanting to see local living. Village activities were also mentioned and we attended two.

We spend April 1 to May 14/2016 in Balestrate. We had many wonderful evenings in this restaurant. The food was amazing, the drinks excellent and to be greeted each time by Piero and Davide and staff was the best. Dorothy and I brought firends with us many times and we were always treated to the ultimate service. Located in the main piazza gives you a view of the town and it's people.Our time spent here we will always cherish. Thank you Piero and Davide for a wonderful experience many times.Paul and Dorothy

We were staying nearby, so our day invariably started here for great pastries and coffee. Friendly, helpful staff. Customers almost entirely locals. Very good pasta, if only a limited selection. My wife thought the spinach cannelloni was the best she ever had. Also serves pizza, panini and more, so it's good for a snack or meal at any time of day.

We stayed in Balestrate marina for several days and found Why Not to be an ideal place to feed the whole family.I guess it would be classed as a "fast food" restaurant. However this means fresh tasty meats , fish and seafood. The antipasti were very good and very reasonable, the Swordfish Busiate and Salmon and Prawn Risotto were superb and the pizzas were excellent.Drinks were reasonable and the service was good.The restaurant was always busy and you could see why.
