We visited here on a Friday evening and pre booked. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived but was very busy when we left. We ordered from both the regular menu and children’s menu- great choice and selection on food on both. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They brought over some activity books and colouring for the children. The food arrived after a short wait and was all hot and delicious. We only had mains and were completely stuffed afterwards! Will definitely be returning here. Thanks for a great meal.

Booked a table here with my partner after first visiting The Goat Inn nearly a year ago and loved it, so had to return. We were warmly greeted as soon as we arrived and shown to our table with a view of their lovely beer garden. We both went for 3 courses and there were no compliants whatsoever! My chocolate and hazelnut cheesecake was particularly delicious! Would highly recommend this place!Thank you for a lovely evening and hope to return again soon.Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely response! We look forward to seeing you again soon. The Buck Arms

We have been previously been to the Black Boys in Aylsham but could not get a table so decided to try the Buck Arms. We arrived early and decided to have a drink before going to our table but the bar area is very small and cramped. The food compared to the Black Boys is poor. I had the Venison which was nice but my plate would have been half empty if it hadn’t been for the bag of rocket , my partner had the Skate it again was nice but half the size of the one I had at the Black Boys a few weeks earlier. When they presented the bill it was over £240 foe the four of us, when we queried the bill they said that they had mixed up the tables and gave us a revised bill of £114. Other people were also querying their bills. How can one establishment in a group be so different. Will definitely not be going back

I was visiting friends in Martham and we decided to go nto Aylsham (a few miles away) for a drink or two. We were attracted to the Unicorn as there was music on - a local rock covers band. The beer was well kept and the staff friendly and the band very good. Imagine our disappointment when the landlord told the band not to continue when they finished their first set. We ended up leaving and going to another pub nearby. We cannot comment on the food as we didn't go there to eat

Table was right in the middle of walkway so had constant traffic to and from the kitchen, also constant draft from the outside door when customers were arriving and leaving.Meat was very tough grisly and was very hard to enjoy, for the price of the steak we expected something special, have had better steaks bought from the supermarket..Desert was more than expected, more than made up for the awful main course...won’t be returning there in a hurry...

We have been intending to try the Thai food for some time but something never quite appealed to us - however we have now visited and, unfortunately, the food "missed the mark". It just wasn't, in our eyes, "authentic" Thai food and it certainly lacked the delicate fragrances that you associate with that cuisine. Sorry but we won't be returning since there are some many better Thai restaurants within, say, 15- 20 miles

Very popular restaurant and seems that booking is essential especially at weekends. Nice welcome and cloakroom service, which is sadly often lacking a lot these days. Tables, although somewhat crowded into the rooms, leaving little space for navigation, are set nicely and service was well timed. The weekend menu is somewhat limited in choice but there are vegetarian options for every course. I am told the fish dishes are the best, but as a meat eater opted for chicken supreme. The starters are in my opinion over-priced and the choice is quite limited. The food itself is presented well and the portions are well-sized. The quality of the produce was exceptional. Desserts are delicious but slightly over-priced at £7.50 each. The wine list is well above average and there is a good selection, which is on the whole well-priced. It would have been nice to have seen a couple of Grand Vins on the list, maybe a Pomerol or Margaux, but on the whole it is a good list. A shame I was driving!
