We really wanted to like this place as we love Tioga Downs. But our first experience will probably be our last unless this place ups its game considerably. First, the place is nice inside. Clean, well lit, nice decorations. So it gets and extra star for that. But the food was all down hill. I got the 2 item BBQ platter with Carolina pulled chicken and Memphis ribs. Chicken was so tough and I swear it was microwaved just before being served to me. The 2 ribs were huge, but full of fat and very little meat. Sides were baked beans (I'm sure they were from a can) and cornbread, which was the best part of the meal.My husband got the baby back ribs. They were heavily sauced, which always makes me suspicious about what they are hiding under mounds of sauce. Sure enough, they were so tough that my husband almost considered sending them back, but he was hungry and he didn't want to make a fuss. His sides were the baked beans, which he didn't finish (small side dish so I knew he didn't like them) and the cole slaw, which was okay. 2 dinners, both awful, and 2 bottles of beer totaled $47 for the meal on a very quiet Sunday evening. Waitress was pleasant enough but unless the food improves, we cannot recommend this place.I'm so sorry that this was your experience at our restaurant. Our manager would like to reach out to you directly to discuss your visit and your feedback. Can you please provide me with a good contact number and an email so he can reach out to you directly. My wife and I tried the new The Blackburn 1897 for a Friday night dinner recently. The owner of Chacona's diner has opened this attached restaurant. We had such a great dinner and nice time. We both had the Delmonico steak with green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was a very nice cut and cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were outstanding and the green beans were done just right. The atmosphere is very casual and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The owner stopped by to make sure everything was ok and be made the rounds to the other tables throughout the evening. The restaurant has two sides, a bar area with high top tables and a dining area with booth seating for a more private dinner. After dinner, we had a drink at the bar and enjoyed talking with the bar tender who was very personable. It was a great evening. We'll definitely be back!

Host/waiter was very prompt, cordial, knowledgeable and always there with a refill. Food (buffalo chicken rangoons, pot roast, and Rail house chicken) was excellent. Meal was paced perfectly, and the portions were quite ample and generous. Prices were very reasonable.Evidently someone at this place cares deeply about their patrons and reputation.

Donât want to insult locals who enjoy out of nostalgia or convenience (apparently some per other TA reviewers). We stopped off the highway where McDs was the only other option. Many wing options but it felt like a frat house vibe - very dated, not clean (not wanting to think about kitchen), sticky menus, bathrooms where you must squat. Very basic - no celery or carrots. Friendly but slow service. May be fun place to catch a local game on tv at the bar.

GPS users: this restaurant is on Pitney Street; turn on Pitney Street; our GPS incorrectly directed us to a nearby strip mall.Excellent service by the friendly Kristi.Great decor and vibe; comfortable padded seats indoors. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating.I highly recommend the black bean veggie burger with melted sharp cheddar. Green peppers, onions and corn are mixed into the patty, making it MOIST and flavorful. I recommend a salad on the side instead of the chips, since the burger itself was very moist and didn't call for more grease on the side. I think I paid extra to substitute the salad for the chips. I requested the garlic mayo on the side and didn't need to use it.The hard cider on tap was excellent and paired well with the veggie burger.Assortment of board games available.

We are located in a beautifully renovated train station that served the Lehigh Valley Railroad since being built in 1904. There are several train cars on the property, serving as dining cars and storage for the restaurant. From a great lunch destination w
Traveled to Sayre and met some long time friends for dinner. We found the staff there to be very friendly, the beer cold, and the food good. Our group enjoyed the steak, burgers and steak sandwiches. Everyone enjoyed their meal. In Sayre, this place is above average. Worth a return visit
